Actually it is the client that crashes often. Zeddy Hearthstone has commented many times on the state of the client.

Remember that unlike WoW, Hearthstone has more of its graphics client side meaning that it has far less overhead. It is a lot easier on a server if all it has to do is manage simple graphics and raw numbers around rather than full articulated 3d models.

doesn’t change the fact hearthstone server is overloaded.
asia is infested in bot to the point i play mercenaries on america region server.

i sometimes get timeout disconnect in asia, to the point i need to reconnect 10 times just to do single wild ranked queue [i do wild ranked at asia region].

and it’s stop happening when i switch to america server.
p.s: it’s also happen sometimes now in america.

edit : i thought every server handle like that, but WoW is different ?
pretty sure 3D graphic game server also doesn’t handle image and stuff.

all the 3D movement is basically remembering your 3D location using a string of text based on the map size.

for example game called trove :
they are using 3 digit for each dimension parameter.
basically [155],[155],[155] to save your location.

each block of location also saved on this [155],[155],[155].
they connect each of this [155],[155],[155] next to each other to make open world.

i could be wrong, but i feel like that the general gist of it.
they also customize the corner of this [155],[155],[155] so they can connect with each other more fluidly.

the world feels like [3300],[3300],[155].
but they doesn’t save that at all since every world will be scrapped after use and player will spawn at home or player main hub or club house after re-login. [based on last location]

but you are telling me WoW server handle it bit different ?

Hearthstone doesn’t have a single server but several. The only time the servers themselves overloaded is when you have that little login cache. Of course there is a separate set of servers for log ins.

The late TotalBiscuit did several videos that looked behind the curtain as it were. “WoW PTR - Ghostlands, now with added flying” is one of the more indepth ones and shows a sample of how WoW actually works.

If it was a server side issue, there would be reports of MASS disconnects frequently happening at the same time.

We dont see that.

i can only assume something weird with my side that makes me keep disconnected to asia server.

i am part of the disconnect, doesn’t even report it,
there is still probability other people also doesn’t report it.

but let’s stop at that, let’s just conclude it’s problem from my side.
i don’t even remember when it’s happen anymore it’s happen long time ago.

why bot in a mode you can just afk in for the same reward?

They exist, but not at the numbers you imply.

You are mistaking the programmed, intentional, bots for user/3rd party made ones in Mercs.

Auto clickers are not bots. Or more accurately, they are the lowest form of bots. And unrelated to Mercs.

Actual bots were the Pirate Warrior bots in wild waaaay back in the MSOG day that actually played cards instead of hero power roping every turn.

pretty sure auto clicker can play card.
i also sure they can click on mercenaries ability.

Again, how are you determining the bot you are facing is not one programmed by Blizzard, while playing in Mercs mode?

just like bot in wild,
they either goes PVE by spam click.

in fighting pit
also spam attack on simple mode and probably roping
[they gonna rope unless they add end turn click]

i didn’t see player scripted bot in mercenaries yet if that is what you trying to assume out of my text and that is misunderstanding on your part.
