I think we had wild for a wild but outside of velen combo raza, maybe galkarond. I don’t think there’s been a lot of Standard priest metas but standard wouldn’t have ever had it anyways. Imo priest in wild played my favorite as tempo, but it’s always had a severe lack of good on it’s own solo 2 drops and a pretty bad t2 hero power.

Tempo is its best while dragon package 2 2/4 lifesteal taunts and the northshire cleric gave A strong 1/3 + 2, there just didn’t seem to ever be A good 2 drop for the class.

Raza helped this by giving zephyries as well as recovery. But it just boggles my mind they just kept printing rez support when nobody wanted it and took the northshire away leaving it drawless. As well as giving it incomplete tools to ever be a tempo deck.

You just can’t be missing a solid 2 drop with priests hero power without a cleric. And they just never really printed the right card outside of dragon packages. imo something like raza control without velen combo but tempo inspire was fun. Hard combos that did nothing else was unfun.

But they just did tons of stuff that made no sense at all until shadow priest came along and lo and behold… It becomes a pirate or earlier elven archer deck from lack of cards so it runs neutrals. I guess it’s decent now, but it feels odd for it to be aggro.

So, i’m gonna give a look at pre legend ranks (since we don’t have much data for top 1k), as these ranks seem to be the most competitive, overall. From 6-158, the classes with the least top deck time, from worst to best are Mage (4) Priest (5) and Warlock (6). This is also true from 159-199. By tier 1 decks, from 6-158, we have the three worst ones as Priest (20), Mage (22), and Rogue (41) closely followed by Druid and Warlock (43 and 44). From 159-199, it’s Priest (0), Mage (3) and Shaman (7)…

The quest should really say damage inflicted by cards. Excluding g fatigue

And it shouldn’t reflect any hypothetical opponents damage too, like enemy cards, hakkar, explosive runes, leper gnomes etc. Maybe if they actually worked on warlock instead of advancing their quest for free, people would play em you know to counter a self damage deck a proper way instead of reflecting it.
