I cannot stand the Yogg card. Hated the first one too.
Really wish Team 5 would stop giving mage stupid dice roll cards like this.
Just another braindead deck.
I like the deck. It sure beats: “Play Yogg and hope you don’t lose.”
Which makes one wonder the legitimacy of that winrate, if the deck is so universally easily played at virtually all ranks. Usually a good player can play versus a curve like that.
See, you’re stuck in the “mage spells are for removal” mindset. You need to get into the “play on curve, go face” mindset every other aggro deck has. You’re just like them now, except with spells instead of minions.
Mage should be spell based. Spells for burn. Spells for removal. Spells for stall. It should have minions that benefit from spells or minions that augment spells.
It should not be slot machine.
This is far from a slot machine, lol
It’s a good old, tempo mage deck and it’s back
50-52% win rate in higher legend ranks means it’s back
Stats might show a different picture, but that picture is entirely wrong if it happens. I’m yet to find a person who’s playing it with a losing win rate.
If you keep losing 60% of the time, ofc you’ll stop playing it. But it’s playable. I have 54,5% on EU and 62,5% on NA, and I see DenimBlue having 55,3% in even higher legend
Also, Matthew hit rank 1 on NA with Rainbow mage somehow
If you cry that mage is bad now, it just goes to show how bad you are, nothing else.
Don’t misunderstand me. I like the current mage deck. I think it is what mage should be.
I wasn’t criticizing the burn deck at all.
It’s cards like Yogg I have a problem with.
I’m just glad that I was right about the mini set bringing basically the only card spell mage needed at the moment.
It’s strong, but not overwhelmingly so.
It’s a little too reliant on keyboard, but what deck isn’t weighted heavily on one card these days?
It currently looks like they hit the target of a mage deck that works and isn’t in the immediate running for nerfs if people decided to play it a bunch.
It’s already 15% playrate and we didn’t even had the first wave of balance changes that will for sure not hit it.
Just saying.
And it is AWFUL to experience.
Discover a whole deck and do nothing. It’s wet noodle fight snoozefest of a deck.
It’s absolutely horrible.
Running in sand boring af.
I don’t know where you gamble, but anything that discovers more than half the cards it plays is a slot machine.
So, enlighten me. Because I have been reading your remarks for a few years, and you don’t seem to like anything mage has.
When it wins, that is…
It’s only when the class is bottom of the meta rankings, and I can prove this pretty reliably, that you don’t have negative things to say.
I say plenty of negative things too, with the difference being that I am not calling for other classes to be constantly chained in the rankings basement.
This deck actually plays like a mage should.
First deck mage has had in a very long time that does.
And you have a problem with it.
I shouldn’t be surprised at all.
It is a horrible experience to play against the deck. At least for me. Mage and DK are the absolute worst decks to face. DK is mostly the Plague BS. Mage is usually because any good deck they get is a game of solitaire. If it is fun and you like playing it that is cool. I have no issue with that. They need to give mage a deck that is not so polarizing but is good. Mage players tend to be their own worst enemy and play these middling decks at an insane rate and hold their own class back from getting any really good decks.
If everyone who has ever posted here spent all their time trying to do exactly this, enlighten you, it still wouldn’t be enough.
It’s your whole persona here. You spam the boards with troll threads about mage to get attention. Facts be damned.
This is a meaningless statement.
First…
As someone who plays a Ton of mage and was there over all stuff done with the class there is something to say about it.
People saying that this deck does little to no random are talking about what they Just don’t understand.
People are so immersed in hate for random card generation that they don’t even recognize the stupid amounts of randoness of cards like manufacturing error.
It is a tempo deck but is a tempo deck so immersed in randoness that i would rather play cassino mage if i wanted more Control on my games outcome.
Said It before and gonna say it again.
Mage decks gonna be fairly balanced the day blizzard recognize they are more fun to play with and start adjusting it’s cards rarity to have a prohibitive build cost.
No good mage deck should cost less than 20K dust.
Well, it is the first tempo deck mage has been allowed in years.
It has less RNG in how the game plays than any Yogg or Khadgar deck.
Those two reasons are plenty for why I like it.
I hope We see more tempo, and burn from hand for mage, along with freeze from hand for stall, and secrets for disruption.
These things are what mage should be, and they should do them better than any other class.
I don’t see much randomness in that card
It’s broken, for sure, but not quite random, since it draws from your deck.
In general, the discover pool in spell mage deck consists entirely of 3-cost minions and Mage spells, nothing else. You can sometimes gain a non-mage spell which is playable from molten, but you can’t rely on that to be useful most of the times, so, there’s that
But yeah, manufacturing error is just broken. It’s a better version of rogue’s scorpio, which is sus, since rogue gets her only as an excavation reward and you can play this unconditionally as mage.
Wouldn’t be surprised if it gets nerfed, not even a little bit.
Now this is a dense take, lol. Why would any non-highlander deck cost more than 20k?
To keep people from playing the class like they do now, which would allow them to actually make good mage cards.
He’s basically saying if you have a 5-10k dust mage deck that rakes, it’s going to get nerfed every single time.
That class has always been more accessible than others
Maybe, just maybe, it’s so popular because it’s pushed down your throat since you first open the game
But maybe it’s just fun to play
Either way, this is the first ever cheap mage deck which is playable in higher legend
Since the first mage deck ever, it’s unplayable without at least 2 legendaries
This is a temporary “mistake”, one which I have no doubts will be fixed soon xD
All it takes is couple of good counters to be found for the class to delegate to unplayable status and wait for reinforcements in the form of next expansion, or for manufacturing error to get nerfed.
One of those things is going to happen soon.
It really isn’t the first.
It is the first super cheap deck in like 3/4 years not even reaching 5K dust. That It really is.
And not be fooled.
If manifacturing error gets nerf It is back to tier 4 for this deck if not worse.
That buff literally gave the deck extra 10% winrate alone when it first came so expect a similar down if they put It back to 6 mana.
