In Reaction To HSMETA IS HEALTHY article!

Imagine if they made a mage archetype that wasn’t random casino BS or highlander. A nice straightforward deck

We had that, and if it came back I would probably never shut up about how inspired the Team is , but I’m not holding my breath…

you wont have time to do that
because if it turns out to be even a bit competitive
youll be arguing with all the posters who will come to the forum to ask for the deck to be killed

and you know they will

I would say you are psychic, but you don’t have to be to call this one:)

And here lies the issue with all the whining.

  1. Whine about Druid and Warlock.
  2. Blizzard nerfs Druid and Warlock.
  3. Go back to whining, only this time whine about how Druid and Warlock don’t have good decks.

VS also predicted the highly requested nerfs would lead to a less diverse meta.

I said Blizzard needed to take the unprecedented step and ban Darkglare from Wild and was scoffed by many of the same people complaining about the meta now. Because Warlock was the deck able to keep Druid in check.

I can’t think of a single whine thread about Druid and Warlock not having good decks

That’s quite the straw man.

How about the multiple individual threads complaining about one or the other?

I didn’t imply that there’s threads complaining about both at the same time.

No, I haven’t seen any complaints threads about either class; it certainly isnt the majority of complaints. The majority of complaints are about “created by” rng or “created by” value, of which neither deck was a culprit.

Edit: A quick scroll through the forum, the only post mentioning Druid or warlock are “druid still feels relatively good to play”; while there are multiple threads about mage.

Closest I remember is I think after innervate and/or wild growth nerf, one or two druids were saying their class is actually bad, because their basic/classic set is bad (after numerous nerfs to other cards over the years). This meant that you really can’t make a good druid deck without absurd expansion cards (and they’ll cry when those get nerfed too)

They’d go on about FoN nerf and ancient nerf and keeper nerf and nourish nerf and how everybody hates every druid deck that was ever good…

Basically just imagine Mallen, but for druids ;p

That’s funny because I started a Warlock nerf complaint thread. I also took part on other people’s threads.

It happens to be that the Warlock nerf is one patch prior to the Druid nerf and those threads are not in the front anymore.

The closest to a warlock complaint topic I recall was a topic actually requesting warlock buffs. :yum: Which we do need!

Does this help your memory?

I swore there was one more recent but I couldn’t find it. I may be remembering posts rather than topics, however.

Who cares if its within 5%. We have 3 dead classes and meta boils down to face and bomb and weapon decks vs non face decks. Its not a healthy fun meta. Guy is right its trash non interactive meta. Where are the heal cards to replace zilly? You know why paladin is the only decent deck that is favored vs soul DH? Because it actually has healing cards.

To me face face face bombs weapon go face more bombs face face mage rng squared more face face face isnt a good fun meta.

You should use the word fun instead of good, it removes anyone being able to argue with you.

Could you define the word good in this context, please?

Actually it’s because paladin has a large number of beefy taunts, often with divine shield that demon hunter has a hard time slogging through that all come online around the same turns demon hunter is looking to start really swinging hard at your face. Soul DH has a very limited amount of damage it can do; enough to kill most players but not enough to kill if it also has to fight through several mid sized taunts with divine shield

Fun and good are both subjective words. Good meta or fun meta both have different meanings to different people. Why would you want to argue with people’s feedback on how they are enjoying Hearthstone anyways? Feel free to add your own opinion as to why you are enjoying it, but telling people that they should be enjoying the game because a bunch of winrates on spreadsheet are balanced is nonsensical.

Equally nonsensical is assuming everyone isn’t enjoying the expansion because you aren’t . I don’t count myself among them, but plenty of players have praised this expansion.

Fun is an actual emotion and it can be decided if one is having it or not. Now, what causes people to have fun is a different story and obviously varies immensely between people. The word good is subjective, and so that is why he suggested the word fun instead of good. He meant no offense by it.
