I primarily play Hearthstone on my iPhone 7+. Whenever I play a game and I exit to my homescreen (ex. to message someone) or swipe down to access my menu (ex. to check the time), or go to my control center, it immediately disconnects me from my game and makes my screen blurry. After that, it takes me back to the main menu in Hearthstone instead of reconnecting me to the game, and there’s no way to reconnect to my game unless I double tap my home button and swipe the Hearthstone app away then enter the Hearthstone app again.
Usually, if I swipe down or go to my home screen on my iPhone, it won’t disconnect, but since yesterday I’ve been having this problem.
I know that if you go to the home screen for too long (several minutes) then it will disconnect you, but for this problem, it disconnects me immediately after I either swipe down, go to my home screen, or control center.
I hope this problem will be addressed.
Edit: I get disconnected from the app when I do any of the three things I listed above even when I’m not in a game. It’ll happen even when I’m on the main menu, browsing my collection, etc. Also, notifications from the phone also seem to cause this as well.
Since downloading the patch the other day this has been happening to me as well on iPhone. Any time I revive any sort of notification, I am booted out of my game to the main menu. When I try to search for a new game it will disconnect me and restart the app. Once restarted, it will reconnect me to the game I was booted from, but by that point I have already missed 1-2 turns and just need to concede. This has happened at least 10 times so far today. Clearly there are some loose ends from the patch that need to be addressed.
I am having the same issue which started roughly two days ago. Even when the “20% low battery” warning comes on over top of a Hearthstone game, I get disconnected.
Please fix this soon. Losing games because of this is very frustrating.
Nope, girlfriend with iPhone 7 just got thrown out the game due to a incoming call.
I finally convinced her to play the game… now this… argh
