Thank you!
Still, the gamepedia thing isn’t really the same as having the cards exist in game. I really wish this product had more conscience about players and
their perceived sense of ownership. i feel like developing that sense of good will and loyalty would ensure that his product lasts for the ages rather than players seeing for themselves that they own nothing and never did. An unnerfed format sounds like fun to me. I see no reason why tournaments and the like would ever be allowed, as making Wild tournaments seems to be the reason Our cards all got killed in the first place. They gave us Wild then immediately monetized it without ever considering the players who just like to collect and have the cards as they were originally intended. Those players have no place or format at all.
There is no balance…
Unless you think in terms of PAY scale…
Agro Vs. “Splashy”
It’s always been this way.
Balance would be seeing a consistent amount of games played by each class… that is never the case either.
That’s poor balance in and of itself…
I have a version of highlander I played this month and so far I am 201 games in… I am 13-2 against priests and 11-2 against Shamans… equally high against Locks but so few I don’t bother tracking… 50/50 against Mages, Rogues and Warriors… against Druids and Hunters, well… might as well auto quit those match ups.
There is no balance… just luck and a bit of skill, IF you have the tools available… RNG hell imo.
I wish you big posters would consider the possibility the game is actual imbalanced in more ways than one instead of insisting the developers attempt to achieve balance… who knows how many thousands of games I’ve played on constructed… I know the balance exists but not in terms of class but what you paid… deadly agro V slow control…
did you spend 6k dust or 17k dust? There is your balance… and if you think in those terms, it’s obvious.
That is not game or class/curve mechanic balance… those are pay scales.
As a person who likes the collection aspect of the game as well, I understand where you’re coming from. It would be nice to be able to see the original cards in app, and even play a few of them.
I’m not even sure the format would be unplayable, there are so many tech cards now that something could probably beat whatever dominant deck rose up. It would be an interesting experiment.
Collecting mounts and pets was the only reason I stayed in WoW as long as I did. That feeling of “getting them all” and being able to show them off to other players was a big chunk of the game’s attraction for me.
I just wish that something like that existed here.
ive never seen blizzard advertise this anywhere as a COLLECTIBLE card game. theyve always called it a STRATEGY card game. i could be wrong but show me where blizzard themselves have wrote the words “collectible card game”.
so you want a wild format for wild…
but the original cards still exist. that’s the OPs point.
are you in Australia? you should sue them over false advertising.
A brief search turns up an article from Polygon from 2017 that HS was a $400 A YEAR game.
May have gone up/down - down unlikely - in the past 2 years but it will still require a lot of investment over even a $50 AAA title like COD.
You are actually correct, the word is ‘strategy’ not ‘collectible’.
An excruciating, banal minor detail but one that a lawyer could argue until the end of time that you are due nothing.
Your average consumer would assume it is collectible, being as that is by default the standard for the genre, but like in an insurance policy when you have to claim they would just use it as a get out that you thought you had cover and you actually don’t.
You ‘thought’ you had a CCG, you actually have a SCG, your fault for not reading the small print.
Perhaps a “Wilder” format for wild.
The article specified that was the case if you wanted to collect every card in the game. All things considered, It’s a steal to pay $400 for a full set of every copy of every card released into a CCG in a given year. This number is also very likely to go down soon with the new features being implemented with the YotP.
When i think of what i could be doing with 400 dollars a year…
Eat a $7.69 fast food meal, once per week. That’s what $400 a year comes out to be.
not really, in MTG you have a chance to make money off your collection. In hearthstone you are basically setting your money on fire.
ok so weve established that blizzard never called this a collectible card game, why is there even a discussion anymore? thats literally your whole argument over and over…
Or i could pay my auto insurance for the year. Perspective.
What I’d give for my annual auto insurance to be anywhere close to that…
