If the argument boils down to “I don’t feel appreciated despite all the free stuff I have access to, because I don’t have access to this specific set of free stuff” then that’s not a very good argument.
That’s not the argument. And it’s wasn’t free for me, I paid for it through pre-orders and bundles.
This time next year I will take my freebies and be happy. When I fly British Airways I get miles. Booked me a flight to Madrid earlier this year as a reward. Loyalty bonus for a paying customer.
If you can’t understand the difference then I’m sorry, I accept I can’t get my point through. Feel free to assume that I am happy with freebies and Blizzard is great at customer recognition and retention.
None of the things I listed cost money. You get them regardless of whether you pay money or not. So no, they did not cost you money. As for the bundles, you do get some freebies out of those (hero portraits, card backs) as well as the cheapest possible rate for packs. So again, you are getting some benefits, but they seem to be ignored because they’re not as flashy as getting one free deck, once.
These two things aren’t comparable.
I understand the difference between what you get out of being a “loyal customer” for Hearthstone vs. British Airways. The comparison is a bad one because these two things aren’t really comparable. You might as well complain that your primary care physician doesn’t give you enough freebies for being a paying customer for all these years.
I’m not assuming anything, but it does sound like you are. Hey, you do you my dude. It’s a free country.
I kinda have to add that I live in England, never paid for healthcare in my life. If I don’t like my doctors service I just go to another one.
I really feel like you’ve missed my point, I have no issue with the free deck for returning players. I am asking if there will be a similar focus on paying players outside of the current structure. I don’t think anything is wrong with that.
I don’t want to be a keyboard warrior. The pricing/reward structure is what it is and enough of us won’t change our purchasing behaviour to push Blizzard into a change. If it works for you it works for you…
I still dont understand, why some dudes defend blizz so badly? Were not being spoiled kids. Were just want to be herd, in the aspect that theyre even giving x4 legendaries (roguedeck) when I had to invest a lot of money, and dust to get them. Theyre even giving adventures cards. Wich u totally had to buy. Its not fair for the ones that truly support the game to get nothing. Not even a random legendary. All I see is peeps saying, oh ull get dust from hof. But the main reason I will, its becausw ive been here all these years spending money to get those cards… Thats the whole point. They couldve gifted them just basic decks. Like the one with antonidas.
That’s exactly the point… they should give one free deck to everybody or at least a certain amount of dust that allows players to craft the cards for one of those decks. The presence of adventures is then kidding even more than this promotion is already doing… it’s like spreading the message that it was better to not buy the adventure since one month after its release you would have got its cards for free… this makes no sense.
As it is right now it is totally unfair and wrong for loyal players and even worse for the ones who starts playing just a few days before the 17th of March.
You got the point. Some one paid for the card and others received exactly same card as a free gift.
It is not fair to those paid customer.
Customer Care is important.
It is clearly shows that Hearthstone marketing team and product team lacks of communication!
Their marketing team only wants to push new marketing strategy such as “Free gift”.
In addition to it, the marketing team forget to communicate regarding to the customer care topic or, maybe they never had customer care topic discussion during new release.
I think their product manager/project manager should reconsider to give this Free gift to all players.
You are wrong because you are also not consider to care those active players.
Now the only right thing is they should consider to give this Free Gift to all players not those selected players.
I understand your point. I just disagree that is necessary. Dunno, for the amount of time/effort I put into the game, I feel like I get quite a bit back. A free deck would be nice, sure, but I’ve gotten about as much out of just doing my daily quests and logging on when there are giveaways.
Of course, I see this promotion more like a catch-up mechanic than an actual bonus, so maybe it’s just a matter of perspective. YMMV and all that.
I am Russian, sorry for the poor command of the language, but I have to write here … NOBODY knows the answer in my country! I’ll be the first. I started playing a few days ago, after March 17. If I advance to rank 25, I get a free deck tonight? Is it better to wait? I mean if i advance right now, before the update. My number is Aleksandr Pistoletov.
any gift for loyal players? heheh
imagine catering to people who dont play your game anymore. lol omw out.
You will get new deck when you advance from rank 26 to rank 25, since tonight’s uptade. 17 March is only for returning players. But with this new update they gonna change rank system if I’m not wrong? So I’m not gonna get 10 packs for advance to rank 25. That’s why I’m asking, but you can lvl up.
PS I meant leaving the initial ranks, today its equivalent is 26 rank. Our streamer who has friends in Blizzard explained it, but he didn’t say too much about it.
Sorry friend this question I also don’t know the answer, and your other question, I got it wrong sorry for the wrong answer, peace!
I did not mention active players, and neither did you in the posts I quoted, so please point out the part where I’m wrong in the proper context of the original posts. Unless you’re talking about that “law” you still haven’t given any more information about. You do know it’s against the law to mention laws you don’t give proper information about, right?
So, anything that requires something specific in order to be eligible should be free for everyone? Go and complain to the Olympic Comittee you haven’t gotten your gold medals yet.
Instead of cutting out some returning players from a free deck, we should be able to buy one of these starter decks with gold. Let the new players get their head start for free, but have it still possible for those who happened to just log in, in the last 4 months but don’t play regularly to get their own deck too. Say 700 gold or something.
Rank system changes April 1. There’s a couple of days when the old rank system will still exist with the free deck.
Stay at 50-26 until the HoF rotation happens in about 12 hours from now.
Let’s see the logic: If you pay for a free good which was given to people for free. It is right for you to complain, and I think it is a fraud in someplace.
Fair trade is a basic principal in the world.
You should watch the video from internet: “Two Monkeys Were Paid Unequally: Excerpt from Frans de Waal’s TED Talk“
And you will know that asking for a paid equally is a basic thing in the universe, even in the monkeys world.
If you still insist Hearthstone treat players Unequally is good, then please reconsider how those scientists treat monkeys.
I don’t want to be treated by Hearthstone like those scientists to those monkeys, by the way.
So, you’re saying game devs giving out promotional codes for their games is fraud? What about shops who do a “buy two, get one free” promotion?
I’ve been playing for a long time. I’ve received a lot of free stuff in Hearthstone. Are you saying that new players should get all that free stuff right from the bat when they log in? Well, they do with these decks. I’ve been given free gold that would have allowed me to purchase the adventure for free, and enough free packs and dust to make those decks myself. I’ll probably even have dust and gold to spare.
Again, you haven’t given any information about that law Blizz is supposedly breaking.
