They did increase the exp and tbh they never really felt like weekly quests because i do them basicaly the same day.

I think if you dont like the ranked weekly just reroll it i mean instead of completing the weeklies in one day it might take a little bit longer i mean u can easily work towards them.

i dislike this change. scratch one more on the ā€œbad changeā€ side, blizz.

  • [Progression] Some Daily and Weekly Quests have been adjusted to be harder to complete but will grant more XP.

Please Blizzard reverse this, it is counterproductive, you will make a few people play more, and many others stop playing.
These measures are toxic, not funny.

Thatā€™s NOT harder, It is a waste of time.

Wow - just logged in for the first time since Sunday and when I saw the ā€œ15 winsā€ ā€œ15 tavern brawlsā€ I thought ā€œThis must be a mistake.ā€

I spend money on this game but have limited time to play. (Donā€™t we all?) With standard games easily going 20+ minutes and considering ~50% win rate thatā€™s a LOT of hours per week just to complete those quests.

Demotivating for sure - itā€™s time for me to stop spending $100 every four months on this game and play something else.

lol this team is determined to put this game out of its misery so bad.

Same. I play only to complete the quests, so I have the gold for the miniset when it shows up, and sometimes its a struggle to finish them off on sunday. Say goodbye to another player who always made their own deck. Enjoy even more of all the same magic decks because its too much of a pain to get the 15 wins on a homemade deck. Seems they want to drive casuals out.

Incredibly disappointed in this. The goal is likely to engage the playerbase more, but it will almost certainly have the opposite effect.

I used to barely be able to complete the required quests weekly in my free time, but now itā€™s insane; Iā€™ll be getting less reward in the time I manage to complete them. Definitely makes me want to play even less.

I playing since, beta, and now, I am considering quitting (paying player) thoose events also took up some time.

Anyway, when Hearthstone started, lot of daily quests were hard, like win 3 games.

And at the beginning, the reward track was bad, but Blizz changed it, because players were angry.

Good for you
Youā€™re missing the part where casual players are explaining how that just became not possible

Sure, if it was the only quest that became problematic
Thereā€™s also the problem that rerolling multiple quests implies that you even have less than a week to complete them

3 times longer is not a bit longer
When you donā€™t have much time to play itā€™s already hard to comply to every quest requirements
By playing the same amount of games that was required to complete your quests before you now only gain about half if not less xp over time

Wonder if Wow is in the BFA/Shadowlands phase. Where the game will go downhill and players will be ā€˜encouragedā€™ to ā€˜play 4x moreā€™. Not by making it wotlk addictive where the world was filled full of things to do, saronite pits to mine, gear to craft, raids to do, and admitably a ezmode raid of the most epic boss that could be defeated by a toddler on normal mode but took a heroic guild on hard mode.

But instead, we just get milked for a #timeplayed metric to have half the player base play 3x more to confuse ā€œ150% more playtime!ā€ investors.

Next one? Iā€™m requesting a refund for the current one right now. They changed the math, I donā€™t want it anymore.

I expect to be denied, but if that happens Iā€™ll try to do a charge back. If they ban me, this is an excellent time to leave Bnet behind.

The claim of ā€œignore if you donā€™t likeā€ and ā€œf2p gameā€ just arenā€™t applicable when there is a directly related premium feature. This is not the sort of change that should be dropped in the middle of a season. If they did this at the start of new season, announced clearly before putting the new pass on sale, I would respect their choiceā€“I would choose not to buy the pass as a result, but it is their choice. But changing value of stuff I bought, thatā€™s BS.

I think, but am not sure since itā€™s been a while since Iā€™ve left one uncompleted, that incomplete quest rolls over to next week and any progress is kept. So effectively speaking, it does do this in the long term.
Itā€™s a matter of losing some quest entirely(due to occupied slots) versus losing portions of each questā€™s reward.

And if Iā€™m right on this, this change isnā€™t ā€œhardcore or nothingā€, but a reduction of rewards for the casual crowd, by up to 60%(120/3=40), although realistically even most casual players overshoot slightly so probably around 40-50%, with some quest being completed in 1-2 weeks instead of 3.

Or pay lol. But I got a job a GF and this thing called a life. So, I usually just do enough to get the old weeklies done. The game currently isnā€™t worth the extreme time investment. But backlash will probably happen then, Blizzard will walk it back to a slightly less scummy version and be like see itā€™s ā€œbetterā€ now. Either that or Hearthstone will fail. Because most games that rely exclusively on whales die. {See Artifact}

As long as Iā€™m here, the Hearthstone will never be dead. I will try to understand, give and improve the Hearth Stone as much as possible so that more and more new players come and we will do it!

this gets even funnier when you remember they have basically killed all of the playable Mini-cards, less then a month into the expansion

All old playing cards and addons should be destroyed and turned into flour for new cards. This process of destroying old and new cards always makes me happy
    :point_right: :+1:

When I said this I had not realized that the quests had changed yet. I maintain that they should be ignored but I also understand that this change mid-pass is upsetting to a lot of players.

Good luck with your charge back

You arenā€™t. Youā€™re expected to pay instead.

Yes, sadly. Maybe the updated is for bot users, LOL!

Blizzard discovered that after they banned bots, the ladder became vacant. So they tweaked the quest requirements to let people play more (or pay more). But all they will get is a reduction of players and revenue.
