The new reworked daily and weekly quests are insane! How are we expected to play so much? This puts a huge damper on being able to obtain XP.
I was barely able to finish weekly quests before, but now many of the quests are triple! the efforts. I guess it’s great if you have nothing else to do every day.
Quests are designed to make you feel compelled to play the game more. If you don’t like them, ignore them. Nothing bad will happen if you don’t complete every quest every day
I usually just play on my lunch break and usually get them done. There are a few that take a bit longer like the one that says to play 8 miniature cards. Don’t need to complete all of them daily since you only get 1 a day as long as you complete at least 1/day your good!
Also just re-roll the ones you think take too long. I do this all the time to some quests I just plain don’t like such as excavate quest (i don’t really play any decks that excavate).
I received the Miniaturize quest, but it required playing 60 minions instead of 16. This one was a reroll before so this time I didn’t even hesitate.
Ended up with:
Win 15 games of Hearthstone’s Ranked Mode.
Spend 750 mana.
Deal 400 damage to enemy heroes.
While they are obviously harder to complete, at least they give more experience for completing them. I can understand how this might negatively impact the more casual community, though.
This is absolutely a change intended to reduce the amount of XP the average player receives in a week and shame on the team for trying to hide this. Revert quests now!
I rarely complain about stuff that is a minor annoyance but the fact that they replaced one of my EXISTING weekly quests that was almost complete with a new one resetting back to zero is some total BS.
This will probably be it for me. I don’t have that much time to play so I enjoyed completing the weekly quests over 1 or 2 night sessions. I just came back during Showdown… Leave it to Blizzard to completely alienate new players just as fast as they get them…
Hard to ignore something that you were able to do by playing just a bit more than what you actually wanted, and that now became something impossible to do in your allocated play time
You have a job you like and work 40 hours a week ? Now you have to work 120, but don’t worry, it pays 25% more.
Oh and remember, if you miss a single hour, you wont be payed a penny.
I almost never complain about Hearthstone changes, but I’m gonna complain about this one. The effort/reward boost on these is way out of line, and while I’ll probably personally benefit a little, I’ll feel terrible about it the whole time. It’s much worse for a whole bunch of players.
I’ve had it take two weeks for me to finish the 500 mana quest before. At 750, blech. And winning 15 battlegrounds games or tavern brawls? Nobody wants to play anywhere near that many tavern brawls, and winning 15 battlegrounds games could easily take 15 hours of play time. Again, “blech.” Honestly, I’d like to say something stronger that reflects how I really feel, but I’d get myself flagged or banned.
They are designed to be hard to ignore. They are, as Scrotie said a
I do not finish my quests every week. I skip out on Hearthstone for days at a time. I don’t want it to be an unpaid job at all. I fall into that too often with online games, and it’s a really bad habit
