Creating a server where no third party apps to play?

I like to play battlegrounds hearthstone and stumbled upon YouTube videos of players, most all are using third party apps. (All high ranking players use it it seems but would they be as high ranked without these apps? Probably not as high lol) It seems I’ve been refreshing the tavern to look for specific cards and wasting gold because it’s been bought out already, it’s about impossible for one to know if it’s still in the pool but using a deck tracker you can easily know what’s available I’m assuming. Like, how many tier one cards are there of one card? It’s like I’m playing a first person shooter game and someone is using a wall hack to see me through the wall and blasting away while I can’t see through the walls. And other options in game clearly the software gives an advantage. So I’d like to play in a server where it’s only vanilla. Or blizzard puts these options from the apps into the game. At least the, what card is still available option. That would be awesome, I could care less about what other advantages the apps they use gives lol. If only I know I’m not wasting coins chasing a wild goose. versus wall hacking. Hello community! Just a suggestion. Vanilla server

They dont show you what is still available, just the total pool, so not a big advantage in that regard, how ever it helps you in other ways so you should try it😊

What program is it called for Android tablet?

Deck trackers are not available on mobile
They only show general informations about the game and are not able to show you information that a normal player would not have access to
They are in fact only allowed because they don’t give access to illegal information

Essentially all they do is provide a very easy to use notebook of what all is available in your current match. Nothing in the addon is any different than if you just had diligent notes about each tavern spell, which tier they belong to, each tribe in your current game, each minion in those tribes, their tiers, their card text, and their golden version’s card text.

So nothing in the addon is any different than what could technically be achieved by anyone with simply pen and paper and just time playing the game mode. The main advantage the software provides is how efficiently it can portray all those notes in a quick and user friendly manner. but still a person could technically achieve a purely analog version with a series of suspended papers with easily move-able groupings to be able to essentially glide thru it all for the info you seek akin to how one uses their cursor to click and hover for the tooltip info.

If it shows the total pool, then that is not available to the normal player during the match. Especially when blizzard sometimes removes cards for balancing or whatever. If I didn’t receive a pop up notification of that I would probably think it’s still in the pool. I’ve always wondered how many tier one cards of a specific type there is. I can explain why I wonder this lol, I was staying on tier one tavern and just getting the mech card, the blue minion that adds +1 health every turn, and kept trying to magnetize him to himself infinitely. I know it’s not a winning strategy but I win sometimes doing it for a more than a few turns. But I wonder when it will run out, does it disappear from pool when magnetized? Or tripled?

It may show how many copies of the minion are available in the game, but it does not have access to how many are remaining in the hsop

The total number of copies of each minion is public information, based on the tier

They always publicly release the information in a patch note, either on the website or the forum
The trackers are manually updated by their creator based on that public information, exactly like how a normal user would inform themself about the change

Ok, Ive been looking through the latest patch notes for some info thanks. But for the life of me could not find anything on card pool. Could you put a link on where I can see the latest card pool? Also the info doesn’t show everything, such as they removed the spell that when cast on a minion it destroys the minion and put its stats onto a friendly minion.

Card library shows available minions.

However it includes some cards that are currently banned. Bans can be seen in known issues

Ok I’ve selected mech on tier one, it shows 2 cards. Now how do I find out how many of these cards are in the pool?

I’m not sure that info is even shown by trackers
Wiki seems up to date though, even if the last quotes can’t be found anymore

Yes
I just copy/pasted the table from the wiki

Does the app also show other players board like what cards they have and played and possibly currently have on board?

Just what they had last time you fight them

It gives too much advantage vs someone without the app. We need vanilla server. I mean you can technically take a picture of a 100 card memory game in its position where you only open two cards to try to match them, (game called concentration/memory) and take a picture of what all was opened and it’s positions. (That would probably be called cheating lol) 3rd party apps are like that from my understanding except with more advantages. We still need the fog of war or otherwise implement the apps hacks into the game for all. I think the balance of the game should start there. If balancing the game is a priority for blizzard.

No third party apps, especially since not all of us use a computer to take advantage of these features. Maybe HS can put players with these third party apps to fight eachother and others on a different category then.

which would require the game to discriminate people based on what it spies on their computers

What do you suggest? Vanilla server like me? Or just ban it altogether.

I suggest to stop making a big deal out of it
They have less impact on the game than people pretend they have

Also those solutions are not realistic for Hearthstone
Making “a” server means nothing, you’d need to create 4 for parity, 1 for each existing one, otherwise it would be creating unfair lag for 2/3 of the players (and China requires its own version of the game)
Add to that that it would add even more management and a lot of costs for Blizzard for no actual benefit.

Banning them would just be a stupid decision.
They’d lose way more players that they’d gain.
Add to that that it would require to implement a detection of these, which has a huge impact on the category of the software.
Maybe for traditionnel Hearthstone they could just remove the log files from the device, or encrypt them so thord parties can’t read them, but it may encounter technical difficulties to do so.
