The firewall scripts do not interact with HS or any blizzard functionality etc. It just changes a setting on your PC. The connection and everything on blizzard side stays exactly the same before and after the scripts are run.
There is no changes to any blizzard service at all.
i doubt they ll going to punish people who d/c by doubling the time from the animations by forcing them to watch them
they can just decrease tavern time based on the animations
blizzards knows exaclty how much time each card animation takes right
couldnt they just make the game do the math and decrease the tavern time based on it ?
Nvidia optimization is expressly authorized, though.
Any script that clicks anything for you is cheating.
This isn’t even up for debate - scripting clicks outside the game that affect the game is a cheat.
I would guess that they will alert Warden to the script and start looking for it at some point in the future, but we will see what steps they make to close the loophole first.
lol. Of course its up for debate. A script which enables a firewall rule is not affecting the game, not in the way you seem to think it is doing.
This isn’t a bot which is selecting cards and playing them, ending your turn etc ect
It is not interacting with the game files in any way. There is no direct connection between the script and HS.
You can literally create the firewall rule yourself, in your own windows fire wall settings and the click on the enable / disable rule button and there is absolutely nothing Blizzard can do about that.
They would be in all kinds of trouble if they started to try and monitor your actions within standard Windows options.
That’s what you seem to fail to realise. This is part of windows core functionality, something which would not fall under any remit of Blizzard to even attempt to be allowed to track what you did or didn’t press in those options.
Fishing bots don’t use game code either, but they are banned.
This means nothing.
Blizzard is literally watching what is running on your machine anytime you have Bnet up, and interaction with the game files is not a requirement of an exploit.
You should read your EULA and then research what Blizzard’s Warden actually does, lol.
Just wondering - what about the manual “firewall on/off” that takes like 2 more secs?
Its no script, the effect is same and its core part of the OS.
Could people get banned for it if they would do it manualy and not through a script? Wouldnt just everybody switch to this method that would take them 2 more secs?
Thing is, they have to stop you being able to skip the animation phase. Doesn’t matter if you and I both got 60 seconds for example.
If I get my 60 seconds, 30 seconds before you, I still have an advantage of getting to see minions first.
I have said several times that clicking things yourself, manually, is firmly in a gray area because you can make arguments to support both sides.
Yes, until they call it an exploit, and Dean didn’t, it would seem that manually dropping it isn’t going to get one in trouble.
But any software that facilitates gameplay that isn’t expressly authorized is cheating. They take a broad definition of facilitates game play.
Look, it’s blizzard’s call, not mine. I would never risk my account by using unauthorized third party software, but that’s my choice.
Fishing bot - Interacts with the client. It literally takes actions for you, a bot totally different.
You don’t have to run anything on your machine to enable / disable a firewall rule, except for windows.
I don’t need to read the EULA to know that they have no access to windows core settings. But no doubt you have read it and can point to the part in which they are able to gain access to Microsoft core components.
Intentionally blocking the client from your firewall is an interaction.
It’s like trying to say me slamming a door in your face isn’t personal… clearly I am interacting with you.
You do you, though.,
Yeah I agree with this one.
It doesnt actually matter if you are doing it via script, manually switching the router, firewall or closing and relaunching the game. Its still intentional exploit of the game mechanic that gives you an advantage over other players not doing it.
In the end in still boils down to a company decision.
They could ban you even if they have a feeling you could be cheating. So even if you really have connection problems. Or they could just ignore it even if you had used that script.
Why even care about a format that is a total joke. Might as well flip a coin to see if you win it’s soo luck dictated. There is no fairness aspect to it at all. The game can just screw you over nonstop… or give you everything. It has the same amount of skill as playing a lotto scratcher.
Well, they usually don’t “just ban” people. Generally you get flagged for weird behavior… so if you happen to have shaite internet once in a while and no actual or clear pattern to disconnects - like say EVERY combat phase - then I do not think they will ban you, even if you were flagged.
Actually pretty much any company is free to ban you if they “just have a suspicion”.
Few months ago I got banned by Bethesda because I have been found to be cheating in Fallout 76. When I told them, I have played for like 2 weeks back in early 2019 and then I havent even logged to a game for over 400 days, they ceased any communication.
Not that I miss Fallout 76
Just an example.
Examples like that arent rare in any game.
And I am 100% sure Blizzard is no exception. If its just random people here and there, nobody notice.
Though with this one, there is a problem even majority of top streamers were doing it so… its not some few random people anymore. But the possibility to ban you even when you have a proof is still there.
They’re attempting to make it fair for legitimate disconnects as he said in the Chinese interview with several methods, but are also nerfing how many triples you can get from Brann and/or Khadgar. I think he said one of the options was to make you lose a whole turn if you dc(the Chinese translation on google is hard to piece what the actual fix is). So no matter what happens, yes they’re getting nerfed which is needed. It’s coming in a week or so to where you can only get 1 triple per minion dropped so if you drop a cat or murloc, you only will ever get 1 triple from it.
They can since it’s their property, but it looks pretty bad for the business. I mean Twitch has had this happen frequently and gets widespread criticism often overturning it(like the guy recently can’t recall the name from Arena in WoW said ‘f$^% it’ and it was pretty clear and the twitch moderator was able to ban because he claimed he said a homophobic slur).
But yes you are 100% correct, a company can ban for anything they want as long as it isn’t something like your race/gender etc.
That’s why it’s so hilarious when people sit and cry about rating this and rating that when the rating is mostly a measure of your luck.
Can you link that Chinese post/interview? Im seriously curious
So tired of this firewall crap. doesnt matter what mmr they even do it at low levels cause they see streamers doing it. I have plenty of good builds and dying early cause i face these guys twice around the time they get to go off with strings of golden. They should either fix or ban the cheaters. It is an exploit and should be bannable. Why cheat this bad on a game where getting good mmr means absolutely nothing.
People are so dismissive and rude to each other on these forums…and it’s over a game. It’s disgusting. Any account you have should be public record and your comments recorded so people can see how awful you are online.
