You are special pleading.
I don’t have to accept a fallacious argument.
Ban, HOF, you can call it “Sit in the Corner” for all I care. They’ve been doing it for 4 years. And the only reason you seem upset now is because they’re using the word ban.

Yes , all the cards as originally printed.
Yeah, I played Demon Seed Lock in Wild.
Also, you clearly haven’t read the bug forum. Let me give you an example:
“X doesn’t work when Y. Fix it.”
“That’s because Y sets things up so X isn’t possible anymore. That’s how it goes and has always been.”
“Well, it shouldn’t. Fix it.”
“But there’s nothing to fix. That’s how it works. Let me repeat the step by step explanation again in more detail.”
“Yeah, I get what you’re saying, but I feel it shouldn’t work like that. Fix it.”
Look, again, if we put in two versions of the same card, there will be two versions of that card in Wild. Stealer of Souls and Demon Seed are still playable in Wild, you know. Just make a Standard deck with those two cards and you can queue up in Wild with it. If we follow your reasoning, we’ll have decks with the Standard Version and decks with the Wild version. If you’re used to playing against the Wild version, you’ll missread the Standard Version. Everything should be obvious at a glance, so by introducing two versions, that obfuscates that.
which is…fine?
I don’t understand why you are so angry at me, I only asked for what was your reasoning about a thing…
I get it, you don’t like the idea, no need to climb mirrors, I am not helding you at a gun point
you should really try to improve your reading comprehension ability
You are right, I didn’t read it.
But the good thing is: I don’t have to!
If the game works, it works; if someone doesn’t understand how it works, then… it’s their probelm.
There are people who don’t understand how oh my yogg works, but this doesn’t mean oh my yogg shouldn’t exist
By the way, why are you reading the bug forum if you hate reading it?
They will obviously change that: like in classic you can’t play both leeroy jenkins
If I try to play a deck with quest lock in it, it says “the game failed to start”, so if it happens, I think it’s a bug (but it’s not happening to everyone, at least, not to me)
I don’t think it would be more confusing then when someone builds a classic deck with different version of core cards, but I see what you mean
They could have had a different version of Ragnaros for Standard and Wild. Same for Baku and Vanish.
Every single argument that you are making is applicable to banning in Standard.
You had 4 years to make those arguments and didn’t.
Because Hall of fame is very different from a ban!
Thanks to the Hall of fame of baku, they were able to make powerful odd cards for classes like paladin and rogue: keeping it in standard would have been worse.
Everyone had its time with baku in standard (1 year), to it was just an early rotation, something that happens anyways.
But in wild it’s very different: you expect to play new combo when a new expansion launches; if they nerf problematic cards, like Hysteria, then it’s ok.
If they ban a new card, that enabled not only a new deck, but a new archetype that was previously unplayable, then it limits the choice of a player. Expecially if the ban comes after only 2-3 months.
Even if we call the HoF a ban, you surely know that if you wanted to play, let’s say, odd paladin, you could go to wild with your old standard deck + baku (a wild card): the deck and the archetype is still playable!
If I want to play demon seed lock, or, more in general, a self-damage warlock in wild, what can I do?
There isn’t a replacement; if they make the demon seed less strong (let’s say: during your turn, your hero is immune as a final reward), then maybe it would be interesting to try this archetype.
That would be a ban with replacement.
It wouldn’t be functioning any different than if that card had a completely different name and artwork.
Except that it would be less confusing.
theyre not banning anything not-meta or like creative.
they ban super meta cards.
that’s a great thing.
balancing the like 99 percent of wild cards that are unplayable in decklists bc they aren’t fast enough would be a great idea too.
letting us pay for the tavern pass w gold.
and a solid 10 other things down the line.
redoing a lot of that last 2 years of artwork with like these skins its really scary seeing blizz underperform on art.
We need to ban priest sword, and hunter quest & druid that turns 1mana, or bring back all warlock cards
You can disenchant the card for full value. This is clearly necessary. With self-damage cards in wild like crystallizer the deck was absurdly broken. It rendered entire classes of decks unplayable.
How do you disenchant for full value? I just spent a ton of dust crafting this. And now I don’t have a deck to play it in. I crafted it just to complete a weekly task. There was no indication it was banned. I’ve never heard of it before. It just sounded cool.
You just disenchant it as usual. If the card is eligible for the nerf disenchant bonus, the game will give you what it costs to craft the card. Note that you have to disenchant in a limited time window after the nerf to claim this.
You must wait until they nerf again xd
Can’t believe this guy hasn’t taken this post down.
I’ve come from 2025 to ask you to reconsider your opinion. How many cards have been banned now? Too many.
And all cards have been reworked and have been unbanned in Wild. Are there still even banned cards in Wild? Because a google search gives me no result. So no, my opinion is still the same.
Nexus Prince Shaffar is actually banned in both Standard and Wild because of OP zerg shenanigans, dunno about Twist
Yes. For example the deathknight tourist when you’re warlock
name them because i cant find those cards
