I love how you try and double think us into believing this is in any way positive for anyone except blizzard “Players who don’t want to spend real money or Runestones will still be able to enjoy the free rewards from the Battlegrounds Track.”, when what is offered on the battlegrounds track are only “things that noone wants”.
This selfish cash grab and attempt at mental gymnastics is exactly what i have come to expect of blizz, i am completely unsurprised!
The only good thing about this is, at least none of my friends will play hearthstone anymore, so when i play, i can play alone, and go back to constructed!

BGs was just a normal mode of Hearthstone. the first Season was released with the title “Rise of the Naga”. the second season is going to be released with the title " Magic of Azeroth"
Wait, what?! The name “Rise of the Naga” does ring a bell. Did they actually call it a Season? When did they define the concept of Season?
that was when they removed the "beta " tag right?
they did call it a season, look back at the news on HS website and scroll down the posts until you find Queen Azshara’s face and the Bg logo
Runestones is the absolute WORST thing that Hearthstone has ever had in it. I’ve been playing for 6 years on an almost daily basis and have really appreciated what this game has to offer. I was F2P for a very long time until after a couple of rounds of the rewards track where I decided to start buying the Tavern pass so I could accumulate more gold for expansions.
Honestly, this Runestones thing seems extremely underhanded and shady. This is the kind of stuff games that hardly make any money do to gouge players by making them buy an in-game currency where they’re going to have a bunch of extra sitting around because they can’t buy what they want with the values of the currency that’s available to buy.
I feel like this is one step away from putting unskippable ads in between matches. After this announcement, that’s the only next step I could see Blizzard taking to treat its player worse and just put them into a machine that’s there to make them money and nothing more. It makes Hearthstone seem those terrible games you see ads for all the time that are an OK or even bad game, that’s made worse by all of the stuff it asks you to purchase if you want to enjoy the game and have any chance of winning.
I implore you NOT TO DO THIS. You’re better than this, Blizzard.

you know, money matter aside(which is the main goal), i think culling player number is also the goal. there’s no way they are so brain dead that they couldn’t see how player would react badly to it before they launch it. it just poor connectivity of battlenet shows the server is nearly hit its limit and couldn’t last longer. rather than used the allocated data for f2p who barely contribute money, better free up spaces for paid user to have better time playing. moreover, new user wouldn’t feel much difference of blocking 2 choice anyway since they had hard time understanding each heroes and busy trying every new things that shows up, to keep their experience novel.
well, needless to say, it is blatant exploitation of old users though. i dunno if i might continue playing it once updated, since i am f2p myself.

Legends of Runeterra, bro. It’s a card game Riot made, people who do League of Legends also. It’s a fun game too and their cosmetics are what i WISHED blizzard would do for so long. If they could match 1/5 of runeterra cosmetics, they’d have no problems selling their art in Battlegrounds.

Battlegrounds have been the main reason for my continued play. I didn’t need to heavily invest real money into it to enjoy it and have a chance. Now it’s gonna be a P2W mess that goes hard for your wallet.
Time to re-up my Xbox game pass on PC.

But not anymore I guess… blizzard self destruction continues.
They may even profit from less server maintence and lower costs.
Neither. He’s young and has other issues and we should give him some grace and let him say his peace while not engaging with him.
