That company’s greed is disgusting, after WoW and Diablo, they destroy the last trully f2p game they had.

Use to play ranked constructed but it got too expensive.
Moved to BGs. Managed to scrape together just enough gold each time to get the perks and the mini set (just in case I wanted to go back to constructed I might have a small chance)
Now this. No more mini sets. No more perks. And I’ll be at a disadvantage every game.
Who said this would be a good idea?

I just bought Tavern Pass for BG rewards, and with this patch you will remove BG quests from HS tavern pass? So because I play only battlegrounds I will no longer be able to complete Tavern Pass in any sensible way.
How does the refund process for Tavern Pass works? Because it no longer works the way it worked when I bought it.

Yea. That may just kill me off, as I’ve farmed a LOT of gold to afford the battle pass. OK. I may pay once or twice - Battleground is a good game.

I find it unacceptable to pay for the possibility of choosing between 4 heroes! Goodbye Blizzard. I’m going to play another autochess where we are on the same equal footing when we start the game.

Are you not mad Blizzard ? Do you not win enough money with cosmetics already, to want to force us to spend money just to be able to play the game ? How could you think the community will accept that ? Think harder men…

In general I understand that they want to do something fresh with BG.
But forcing people to buy the BP to be able to choose from 4 heros is outrageus!
The Runestone currency… ok fine they want their own thing like every game out there.
You dont need to buy it… but the hero thing is a forced thing you need to have to enjoy the game to the fullest.
If they just add the ability to choose from 4 heros as a standard I would be fine with this.

Well, now I have to start the hunt for another game to play, I only play Hearthstone for BG, and now you’re putting it behind a pay wall.
No thanks, I’m out, when will the industry realise hiding everything behind a pay wall is harming the game, yes you have some idiots with more money than sense, but for those of us struggling to get by you keep blocking us out of games we once enjoyed to add a few extra dollars to your already swelling bank account.
What’s wrong with the option of using in-game currency? I’ll happily sit and play for longer to earn gold to buy the perks, but I will not throw my hard-earned cash at you because you decided making it pay to win was the best option.
I’ll enjoy this last week with my perks, then uninstall on 30th.

Oh I agree, this is most certainly NOT what they should have done, especially as a gamewide change. But I feel annoyed at all the people talking about Battlegrounds specifically and whining as if the way Battlegrounds has been is at all sustainable. Again though, it does suck what they’ve chosen to do.
I know they I’ll not revert this, the few idiots willing to throw money at them are more valuable to them than the many more people that enjoy a great F2P game and are willing to grind to get the perks.
They don’t want loyal fans, they want idiots with money, so idiots enjoy throwing all your money at a company that doesn’t need more money.
I’m going to find a game where I can play for free without a disadvantage, or only have to pay once to access the entire game, just like the 90’s-2000’s. It’s a shame when we have to look back 20-30 years to realise how good the gaming industry used to be

Good job Activision Blizzard… another game ruined. Well done… having to pay for something that was free before is mental! Monetize cosmetics but NOT something that impacts the gameplay as the 4 hero selection!
PS: Mercenaries is the worst game I’ve ever seen in my life and I regret deeply investing 80$ for that garbage. Lesson learned - NEVER PRE-PURCHASE -
