29.2.1 Patch Notes

Still terrible. Just revert the Weeklys or give for 10 games 5000 xp so it won’t feel like a much worse deal anymore.

These quest changes are still HORRIBLE. Revert them ENTIRELY. Stop channelling your inner Bobby who’s no longer with the company. If you want to “reward” players that keep playing (Spoiler: They don’t, it’s an excuse…) then add sequel quests instead which you already have the tech to do.

Stop making the game less fun.

I waited a few days to give you the benefit of the doubt. This is not good enough. Uninstalling right now. Good luck.

Blizz, increase the rewards by whatever % you increase requirements, it’s as simple as that. Anything less is a slap in the face.

Bro imagine not being able to win TEN games in a whole week. What are you even doing in this game if you can’t win 10 freaking games in 7 days? Hanging out in the main menu?
Now the weekly quests are actually feel like weeklies. Before, they felt like a bit harder daily quests.
I think this is a great change. The quests will be done by me even if I am not specifically trying to complete them. Yes there will be some I won’t be able to do like winning 10 in brawl, arena or BG ( I only play ladder) or the playing miniaturize one, but guess what? I am going reroll that like did anyway before this change.

It’s not ten wins a week unless all your quests overlap. 5 Battlegrounds wins might get someone to play Battlegrounds despite being a Standard player; 10 Battlegrounds wins is an instant reroll.

This is an awful change, screwing the players who have life outside HS. I will vote with my wallet, by reducing ingame purchases.
Also playing 32 minis is an insane amount.

Some people can only play the game for one day a week, and maybe for an hour. An extreme example, perhaps.

Nothing if not predictable are we Blizzard? Well that’s the last time I buy anything in Hearthstone. Well done.

So you’re still gonna screw us over, but only half as much as you wanted to?

How stupid do you think we are?

Players don’t all have fun by winning, but by playing silly decks with funny combo (where you know, you use non meta cards…)
It seems your fun is winning (with I assume meta decks only), but you can’t see not all players are like that?
Also, you even yourself say you have to reroll quest (maybe because they are bad in the 1st place?)
Finally, not all players play every day, so this is not a “bonus” they give.
As others pointed out, they could have just make tiered quest, to leave players a CHOICE, but no, why would they give players a choice?
Don’t forget before the battle pass nonsense, there was incentive to play forever (or almost) because 3wins = 10g, and they decided to remove that incentive. But now they are like “how weird, players stop after quest, what to do?” and answer this with “let’s make it significantly longer, and marginally increase the reward, that will work for sure!”

Way to go blizzard, good thing you still have players that would only see the shiny “extra rewards” without looking at the extra time invested

Don’t listen to the other comments, boreas is a well known “blizzard employee” (or at least act as one, just look at his other comments), and others telling you you should win or reroll is just stupid.
Yeah sure reroll to get the 10 000 minis to play, that for sure will be easy! lol
No one is answering on the fact that this just increase the grind, and THAT is the issue. You play to have fun, and grinding is not fun.
Again, tiered quest, sure, you choose the grind you make, but this is just straight bs.

But as they said directly,

Our aim with the adjustments was to give all our players goals to play towards, and to reward our most engaged players (who would likely still complete the Weekly Quests without too much difficulty) for their commitment to the game.

Funny enough they dare to write “all our players” and “our most engaged players” within that same sentence. You decide who they are talking to haha
So yeah, they pretty much said, f*** casual, start “playing” hearthstone as a job or you deserve nothing. Thanks blizzard

There is so many more / better ways to help with daily/ weekly engagement instead of just upping the ante. Like better meta, print cards that are fun and interactive cards. Not abandoning pro scene. Fixing bugs promptly. And solo adventures I spent many hours on PVE challenges…. Even big boy blizzard Ion Hazzikostas say it’s okay to play other games.
Happy 10 year hearthstone here is terrible updates that’s just leaves bad taste in one’s mouth.
Be better

Blizzard why do you want to make us slaves of this game. DO NOT go this route because it will end badly.
I have a solution to this problem, instead of “WIN”, do “PLAY” 15-10 games in ranked mode.
And after the problem, everyone was happy.
