Why is it that i’m not getting full dust refunds?
This patch does almost nothing for the wild meta. Pirate warrior need serious adjustment on multiple cards or even a potential ban. Bloodsail Deckhand isn’t the problem. The deck has been viable since GvG and ever since the meta has been build around it. This deck is annoying to play against and renders everything except APM mage and Odd Quest hunter borderline unplayable. Admittedly, its not the strongest deck in wild but it limits deck building in the meta because of its abnormally high play rate and win rate.
why is pirate warrior a stronger deck in wild than in standard ?
Despite whatever people think of it, I still enjoy Quest Mage. Not only do I enjoy it, but I win with it.
14/30 cards are 1 mana and generate a lot of extra free pirates plus. The deck can clear all 3 stages of Raid the Docks by Turn 4 and there’s not a lot to stop it. Warlocks are the worst matchup, and even those are long, drawn-out matches. Most of my Wild Pirate wins happen in 4min or less.
Imagine a minion version of Quest Mage.
The board presence everyone begged for. Then they got it and want to complain about it now.
So a Hunters Patch, Nothing like getting trampled in the 5th or 6th round. Been there done that^^
Not enough warlock Nerf,
Make cost of Touch of nathrezim 3 Mana
,tamsin phylactery 7 mana
And tickatus 8 mana that dont Need to be corruptted anymore
To Balance Standard generell Nerf all Face and face- spell Decks , Nerf Transformation Card like:
Boggspine knuckels and devolving Missiles
and warry quest Should be to summon 1 More Pirat For every step of the quest

After the patch i still do not have the free skin on the shop or any other new hero skin bundles and also still no legendary quest.
A mana here, a 1 hp buff/nerf there … and people think this is good enough? No wonder they continue to get away with their laziness
All the hatred towards priest…people forget what Hearthstone was like a few years back when control and fatigue decks other than priest existed. It’s a card game, not every game is meant to take 5 minutes to complete and priest has been fairly weak for a long time now. They can’t even finish you off unless they have minions on the table or complete their glacially slow quest.
right? currently the best deck, alogn with paladin. both been there for long months, and quest warrior doesnt even use new cards…
To be fair. Take a look at the warrior cards, the only card of interest is a 3 mana card to draw a taunt if you play a taunt without the insane mana cheating or same turn tempo of aggro taunt druid, Arbor up, or greybough. And the other are all just the memey 15 armor charge guy who’s a slow effect (at least 2 10x armor Shields or 8 hero powers) for a slow effect in a meta filled with otks.
The last cards are very strong, but pirate warrior by design can’t take advantage of any singular new cards past maybe the 10 armor for 1 turn card at best. Maybe you could try a korrak in there, or Ivus as neutral filler but nothing is particularly high synergy and the alterac cards for warrior are quite poor without a viable control warrior deck without a worthwhile hero card like Tamsin.
Who while they don’t fit into seedlock, still created A new owl otk and is good on their own. Rokara is pretty much a 7 mama version of the 4 mana pirate without a 2/5 taunt. She kinda sucks too much to build a deck around, but the card just isn’t fun either. She’s not a fun effect.
The pirates miniset and series is definitely top tier but the alterac is pretty much a desert of even homebrew ideas outside of meme armor faceless charge otk warriors who can just die by never drawing a card or… Having a non meme otk without the draw of warlock. There’s just not any deliberately not bad alterac cards past the taunt draw card who just doesn’t have a working archetype yet but would be decent in one I guess with enough support in arena for a discount aggro taunt druid.
I’m enjoying the nerfs, but I keep getting irked by Maestra turning me into a Rogue at the start of the game. Makes her decks unplayable a 1/10th of the time and it just feels terrible. Was really hoping this would be fixed this patch!
Kind of makes the achievement unobtainable. As well as their refusal to fix the diablow one for duels.
I would be fine with games taking a long time, if that was the norm. But when you get used to 5-10 minute games and then you every once in awhile you play against Priest when 10 minutes is just the preamble it gets frustrating.
Eh, not like Blizzard has exactly given priests the tools to play quick games. Just look at the cards they’ve given them over the past year. Kind of makes me miss the old inner fire and mind blast priests.
Any eta on that extra dust for those of us who dusted Vanndar?

Good question. Priest has been the most hated class since weve been playing…since open beta. Don’t know why… but it has.
I’m really confused, this one is patch 22, but patch 17 is pinned to the top of the forums. What patch are we in?!
If they really plan a mass nerfing next year I hope they adress some of the quests and hero cards, plus mr. Smite and some freeze shaman cards. Bring the power level as a whole down a bit. My suggestions:
Mr. Smite- 5/5
Warlock
Dreadlich Tamsin - 7-mana
The Demon Seed - damage from your cards and hero power is reflected on the opponent
Raise Dead - take 3 damage and return 2 friendly minions that died this game to your hand. They cost (1) more
Bloodshard Bristleback - deal 5 damage
Tickatus - burn 4 cards
Paladin
Lightforged Cariel - weapon loses durability when attacking
One of the following:
Libram of Wisdom - 3-mana
Aldor’s Attendant - revert to 2-mana 2/3
Rogue
One of the following:
Shadowstep - minion costs 1 less
Field Contact - 4-mana or 3/1
Warrior
Raid the Docks - 3/3/2 pirates
Hunter
Piercing Shot - can only target enemy minions
One of the following:
Warsong Wrangler - give the beasts +1/+1
Ramming Mount - 2/1 (the buff and the minion)
Mage
Incanter’s Flow and Siphon Mana - can’t reduce spells costs below 1
Shaman
Snowfall Guardian - gain +1/+1 for each frozen enemy
One of the following:
Sleetbreaker - 2/2
Wildpaw Cavers - 2/4 minions (affects Bearon Gla’shear)

Final Showdown - either 5/5/5 or 4/5/6

Some of these changes could be reverted in the next year’s rotation even if the card isn’t leaving standard. The last round of nerfs was too minimal and barely addressed the biggest problem in the game (warlock). Plus all these fast OTKs could use some slowing down.
