21.0.3 Patch Notes

Prepare for another month or so of idiotic Game play and
solitaire decks with zero interaction.

They Either Completely destroy a Deck or they use kid gloves and barely touch it, its like they have NO idea the problem with their own game or what’s causing the issues…i dont think they even play hearthstone at this point, they just stare at numbers and say “oh too much win bad” and then look at bottom performers and say “not enough win bad” but have ZERO idea why before they make a decision

i was actualy waiting for some fun archetypes with this expansion like murlocs or quilboars but what i get is my opponent killing me while trashing his deck sad

yeah in wild fatigue dmg is the problem they should stop tamsin dealing opponent fatigue but in the standart i think stealer of souls should be 7 mana or smth

No crystallizer nerf? No direct warlock quest nerf? Good joob Blizzard, you just sent a big “Screw you” to all wild players.

Please nerf Crystalizer, The demon seed, Kobold Librarian, Darkglare (should be 7 mana 7/8), Flame Imp, Solarium, Raise Dead, Tour Guide and Unlicensed Apothecary. Thanks.

When will the patch be introduced? If today, at what time?

This balance patch is an absolute joke. I really wanna know how do you justify nerfing mage only viable deck that’s barely sitting at Tier 2 at the moment.

Nerfing Incanter’s Flow to 3 mana basically makes the card unplayable in the current meta and possibly puts the Mage into bottom tier once again.

While Shaman gets a laughable nerf in the form of 1 hp reduction on a minion that is all about the battlecry effect and not the stats. Why not increase it’s cost just like you did with all other cards for consistency reasons? Especially that the effect is very similar to Incanter’s Flow but affects minions instead.

Once again Team5 proves that they have absolutely no clue what they are doing. The same people who nerfed crabrider’s windfury just to print another broken windfury card the next expansion.

But hey, at least Conviction finally got nerfed. Only took them half a year to realize what I’ve been saying from the beggining.

Do slow card deck and highlander decks still in favor? Darkglare is not the reason warlock dominates… in standard or wild. I start to doubt if developlers are favoring over fast decks now, so any ancient old type of deck would naturally be discarded… It’s now a pay to win game, if you don’t purchase latest cards then you can’t win. Anyhow, warlock quest is still imba, regardless.

Wake me up when stealer of souls gets nerfed…

I hate how devs and certain people talk about tiers and meta all the day. Do you forget that the game should first and foremost be fun to play?

These are nerfs that will not effect the game at all lol. Mage Warlock will still be doing the exact same thing :). Things needed to be fixed, not just “nerfed”. Mage is the ultimate badass though. To top it off they’re immune to fatigue thanks to Ignite. Yes these decks can be beat, but only if every other player netdecks the required decks and gets lucky by playing a way they don’t even want to play.

When i saw the nerfs i laughed, i mean moving a card up by one mana is not going to do much.

You’ve got to be kidding. And who’s job is to make the game fun to play? Erasing a deck that’s ‘‘unfun’’ to play against is simply avoiding the issue instead of fixing it.

They printed a problematic card that’s creating a number of issues with the mage design but they are not willing to fix it, instead they would rather sweep the problem under the carpet.

Hmm these changes might work but I feel the bigger issue in decks everyone hates is always the draw ability. Today we have DH that feels like every card they play draws a card, mage plays 6 card draw cards, 4 of which have bonus effects (spring water + cram session), warlock backfire and auctioneer abuse combined with a very strong hero power. Paladin seems to refuel fairly easy too even if its not all at once.

Its not even a new problem card draw has been the culprit in many troublesome decks. Think back to divine favour, pre nerf secret passage, ultimate infestation, acolyte + pyro shenanigans, cold light oracle and the worst one of all auctioneer.

Encanter flow is an ok nerf, but its the draw in the deck that’s the issue. Many games play out the same whether they get encanters flow early or not. I can live with seeing encanters flow on turn 2 but when I see springwater at any point in the game I feel despair  followed up by a cram session after quest (2 mana draw 4) uhhh

If you think spending 1 extra mana in order to get 29 mana discounted (not incl the 2nd encanters Flow which will be 2 mana) in your entire deck makes it unplayable then speaks volumes for what your opinion is worth

22-25 mana, you’ll draw a good bit beforehand, but yes.

True I wasn’t even thinking of initial mulligan hand

Is this supposed to fix the Meta? Why are you still tolerating stupid braindead decks like face Hunter and Shaman? They literally ignore the board and just hit face with everything they can which would not be a problem if I could survive past turn 7 to actually enjoy and play the damn game.

Yes this is what frustrates me the most!! I don’t have a problem with combo decks existing it’s cool and fun when it works, but when they are so consistent and happen so fast it’s what feels the worst. I would guess these decks are kept so consistent for the sake of esports but I could be wrong. Strong draw engines and anti-fatigue mechanics have always been what I dislike about card games and oh look mage and warlock have both in this patch

You missed the point entirely. It could discount 500 mana and it wouldn’t make a difference. Why? Because you don’t count the value in the aggro meta, you look at how slow the card is to play.

It’s 3 mana ‘‘do nothing’’ card that pays off later in the game but the games don’t last long enough for it to matter. At turn 1 coin or turn 2 there is no big boards that need immediate answer so you can afford playing Incanter’s Flow. At 3 mana however the situation changes dramatically.

Difference between 2 and 3 mana is a difference between life and death when facing aggro decks.

If you don’t have a clue how this game operates then it speaks volumes for what your opinions is worth.

Please… It still costs less and is more powerful than Bonemare.
