I can’t see the number of required faded embers at the jeweler it only shows the required number when I have more than enough to buy the item

It’s the same for all of the crafts at the Jeweller, i.e. when it shows the fraction where the amount of resources you have is the numerator, and the amount of resources required is the denominator, it will show 0 as the denominator until you have at least the number required to craft, at which point it will show the correct denominator.
For example…
This should show as 83/320…
This should show as 9/80…
This should show as 9/40…
