You mean, the fractured plane event?
They have already set a range of dates the event can be completed. Since there are also set tasks to do within that range of dates with fixed rewards; hence, no reset. However, the rewards in the mini-game you can get over and over again (except the last where you win 1 from the 6 items you select).
Some events have resets part-way through their week-long duration.
As an example, look no further than the week-long Conqueror event where, on initial release, and having completed all of the available tasks, you will only have earned 34 of the possible 44 event center points. You have to wait for the reset that occurs part-way through the event’s week-long duration so that some of the tasks become available again, and complete them again, in order to get the remaining 10 event center points, i.e. completing 100% of the tasks does not give you 100% of the event center points. You have to do more than 100% of the tasks.

This isn’t the only event that does this. Quite a few of them reset part-way through their durations, most of them on different days to each other.
I have not observed a mid-way reset for fractured plane, survivor bane or hungering moon. However, fractured plane still gives it’s own mini-game rewards when you rerun them, apart from the one-time task rewards in the event center tab for those events.
How about the Festival of the Ancient Moon then. That event runs from the 13th to 27th of September, i.e. it lasts 14 days / 2 weeks. When it initially became available there were daily tasks and weekly tasks. For example, there were weekly tasks such as “Gather 50 Monstrous Essence this week”, “Successfully complete 2 Helliquary raids this week” and “Complete the Rite of Cleansing 2 times this week”. Those “weekly” tasks were available two subsequent times during the event, i.e. in a two week long event, the weekly events were available to be completed three times.

@madsen, there are plenty of events you can play with repeat rewards, apart from the fractured plane.
The point is, why do the events that last a week have a reset at all? Why do some reset and not others? Why do they reset on different days to each other? Why doesn’t doing 100% of an event’s tasks result in earning 100% of the event’s seals for the event center?
It is very inconsistent which events will reset midweek and which don’t. Not to mention not knowing if they will reset on which day. Also, while better recently, there is still events and season begin/ends that say they occur on X date at 3am and others that occur on X date and they mean 3am the following date.
