Gem power transfer - original gem vanished

posted a condensed thread as I did some research into this and found out that it seems to work ‘as intended’ but they just dont tell us or warn us it will eat said gem

Gem Power Transfer Misleading

So there has been a few posts about this and I just ran into this and discovered what in fact is happening and wanted to condense and make a proper post on the issue. This is working ‘as intended’ I feel but is badly explained in practice. Gem Power Transfer Allows you to pull food from gems to make them dormant (Expected behavior) BUT if you do a gem to gem transfer 100% of the original gem is transferred destroying it in the process with no warning given.
