Maybe I’m not saying this correctly in my other posts however I’m gonna try again, Before the update, the gear score level would meet the character paragon level, whether it would be blue gear, yellow gear or legendary gear for some reason, the gear level is not meeting the character level anymore now For some folks that play this game who are paragon level 1500 may not have a problem with this however lower level characters may and there are many new players who are going to have a Progression Issue which may cause a player retention issue And I know that some players with a high paragon level may not care about this and before the ones that don’t care post to this thread and let us know how much they don’t care about us lower level players i thought i would say that, with that Being said I understand that gear is random. Sometimes you get good luck sometimes you got bad luck as per what somebody said previously what I’m saying is Before the update the gear score would meet the person’s paragon level now it doesn’t. What should be random would be the magical properties of the gear I would think, but I am not talking about magical properties. I’m talking about the gear score level and combat rating which is effected by the attributes of an item whether it be blue gear, yellow gear Or legendary gear.

The issue new players / returning players / low level players have is that Blizzard introduced bonuses to Paragon gain for heroes that are below the server’s paragon level. The further below the server’s level that the hero is, the larger that bonus is, until I believe the current maximum bonus you can receive is a 1500% bonus to XP earned.
The base rate of XP for gaining a Battle Pass level is just under 1 million XP. With a 1500% XP bonus this means each Battle Pass level will grant just under 16 million XP. A full week’s Battle Pass will get you 13 Battle Pass levels. That’s 13 * 16 million XP = 208 million XP. Each Paragon level takes 3.5 million XP to gain. That means, just from the Battle Pass levels, you’ll gain over 59 paragon levels. Add in the XP you’re getting from mob kills, quests, Shadow weeklies, bonus Battle Pass points from events, Elder Rifts, Hidden Lairs, dungeons and so on, a hero with this level of XP bonus could easily gain 100 paragon levels in a week.
Back when the game was released, getting from Paragon 1 to 100 would have taken a hero 10 weeks. During those 10 weeks they would have farmed 10 weeks’ worth of gear / upgrades. Now that’s being condensed into 1 week’s worth of gear / upgrades. You are bound to find less gear / upgrades, because your Paragon level is far outstripping your ability to gain gear.
You will hit a point where, even though you have sufficient Paragon levels to move up to a higher difficulty level, you do not have sufficient Combat Rating to do so. That’s the point where you’re supposed to stay at that difficulty level for a while and farm gear / upgrades to catch up to your paragon level.
Is this an issue? Sure.
Is this a bug? No.
Show some examples, with screenshots of gear items you’re getting and what paragon level you are…
The gear that has been dropping since the most recent update is all garbage And I see there’s other posts about it as well
I’m not talking about paragon level. I’m talking about legendary equipment drops. I am now paragon level 328. I believe, sigh, The gear that’s dropping is for my paragon level or so it says However, the Legendary gear that is dropping is all garbage The score level for All legendary gear that drops for me since the update is way below The paragon level and it definitely does not meet that paragon level at all so basically I’m stuck. I cannot progress and I’ve been playing this game since before the update I am currently stuck at Inferno however, I can’t get any gear from Hell 3 I’m at a point where I’m going to email Johanna Faries about this
Well, I don’t know if I like that
Once again…
Almost guaranteed, it’s not the base CR of your gear items that’s limiting you. Have a look at my thread which details all the sources of where your CR comes from. The base CR of items (i.e. the drops you get) is only a fraction of your total CR. There’s also your Warband Tableau, Helliquary level / remains, set item ranks, legendary item ranks, legendary gems, and so on.
None of that makes this a bug, however.
