Issues that new / returning players will face attempting to catch up to this Combat Rating…

Set Items

  • Obtaining set items comes from running dungeons, accursed tower rewards, codex rewards
  • Obtaining set item ranks requires running lots of Challenge Rifts for the upgrade crystals
  • Other players can help you with this by carrying you through high level Challenge Rifts

Legendary Items

  • Obtaining legendary items comes from running any content, e.g. open world, bounties, dungeons, accursed towers, battlegrounds
  • Obtaining legendary item ranks requires huge amounts of materials. Getting all 8 legendaries to Rank 30 will take multiple months of farming.
  • Other players cannot help you with this. This is just a hard time-gated grind.

Legendary Gems

  • Obtaining legendary gems comes from running Elder Rifts whilst using crests
  • Upgrading legendary gems requires gem power (from sacrificing spare legendary gems) and duplicates of the same gem
  • This either takes a lot of time (months / years if you’re F2P) or spending real money on buying crests
  • Other players cannot help you with this. This is time-gated or behind a paywall.

Helliquary

  • Obtaining demon remains comes from running Helliquary Raids. You obtain these rewards from the first five raid bosses you do each reset. (Raid resets are at 03:00 Mondays and Thursdays).
  • Obtaining rank upgrades requires Voidblood Slag. This is obtained by salvaging demon remains at the Blacksmith.
  • The rank upgrades are therefore hard time-gated due to the fact that the upgrade materials can only be earned twice weekly, in small amounts.
  • Other players can help you with this by giving you raid carries, which means the demon remains you have in the helliquary can be high level, but this does not help with the ranking up of the helliquary itself, which is hard time-gated by the availability of voidblood slag.

Warband Tableau

  • You will require 8 weapons socketed into the Tableau. These can be a mixture of your own weapons and your warband members’ weapons or you can socket 8 of your own. They have to be ancestral weapons to be socketable. You cannot socket standard legendary, cursed or eternal weapons.
  • Obtaining rank upgrades requires spending warband points. It costs 300 WB points per rank upgrade. The weekly soft-cap on WB points is 1000. The weekly hard-cap on WB points is 1500. This means that, at most, you can perform 5 rank upgrades per week.
  • Whilst your Tableau’s level is lower than the server’s Tableau level, you will receive bonuses to the amount of CR gained per level upgrade. Once your Tableau level is close to the server’s Tableau level you will no longer receive bonuses. Once your Tableau level exceeds the server’s Tablea level it will be affected by decay, which means each rank upgrade gives less CR increase.
  • Other players can help you reach your WB cap each week, but the rank upgrading is hard time-gated by the max WB points available each week meaning you can only do 5 rank upgrades per week.

Incredible! I’ve never calculated my CR accurately like you. Remarkably, the total sum equals CR perfectly. This will be good information for beginners.
I’ve been playing hard since DI opened, but I took a break for 7 months. After returning, my warband tableau point was very low, but now it is 1296. It goes up by 3 every time. The 34 gap with you may never be narrowed. Too bad.

On an earlier thread it was recommended to do more farming. Getting gear to level 30 from 21 is a large CR difference. Spending the time is worth it with one character. If you have many, it will be much slower.

At my level of decay, I earn just +2 CR per Tableau level, so I can earn a maximum of +10 CR per week from this. If you’re still earning +3 CR per level, you’re getting +15 CR per week. This will soon change so that the first couple of level ups in the week will be +3 and the remainders will be +2 and then, eventually, you’ll get to the same position as me, getting just +2 CR per level. By that point you’d likely be no more than 10-20 CR behind on Tableau CR than me.

Oh, I’ve never seen 2, and I thought the minimum was 3, but it’s not. Before I took a break for 7 months, the minimum was 3.

Too bad you typed all that up a week before a major rework of the whole game

?

Only the paragon was changed. I don’t see CR changes in the upcoming rework.

Yeah, there won’t be any changes regarding CR, it’s also clearly visible from keyes youtube video about the new class - the default items were all above 1800+ cr.

The interesting part will be how they will handle the enourmous cr differences in the difficulty brackets. Right now it looks like normal will go up to 520, hell 1 up to 14550, hell 2 up to 26020 and hell 3 up to 34900.
