Unable to change appearance in Wardrobe

Character Name: Druan (Eternal)

I am unable to change my appearance in the Wardrobe.

After selecting skins and dye, clicking Confirm Look closes the Wardrobe with no change in appearance. I also cannot save / overwrite my saved Ensembles.

This is probably happening because my saved appearance / Ensembles all have boots equipped on my hands.

Update: I have started linking other users’ reports of this issue.

Wardrobe in Eternal bugged

Wardrobe stopped working for two of my characters in Eternal, that is, for a Sorcerer and Necromancer. I can’t change the look on any item on them, icons for types of gear are wrong (like dagger in place of chest piece). Does not work for both standard in-game items and cosmetics unlocked by battle pass or bought with platinum. Please fix this, running around in underwear around Kyovashad does not make a lot of sense.

Transmog not working

Popped in after a few years with a legacy character my transmogs disappeared went to reapply then, but my weapons in the chest slot for whatever reason and I can’t seem to fix that, it won’t let me save it, or edit the slots either I can kinda get it to change and confirm look but it just keeps reverting back to that state

PS You should probably enable embedding images or links for bug reports? Also why do you leave the link button enabled if I can’t post a link?

A lot of people are reporting this issue. I have the same issue. I submitted a bug report and a ticket. It took a week for someone to answer my ticket and I was meet with complete denial from Blizzard! I was told they have no bug reports (I’ve see many) and that they’ve had no complaints, ( I’ve seen many), and I was told, “ so sorry, must be a one off corrupt file, nothing we can do about it, to bad for you. I asked for a refund on all my money spent on ensembles and platinum coins and for the ultimate version of vessel of hatred, that caused this, and got the same none answer. So sorry to hear about your problem, but it’s just you. I never got an answer on refunds!!! We need to keep at them until they fix it!!

Having the same issue. I just made a post about trying to reach out to Blizzard on other platforms to get a response on this issue, and just any sort of acknowledgment it exists at this point. Throw it a bookmark and I’ll update you guys if I ever hear back from them.

Blizzard has answered my ticket, they outright refused to refund me. Denied any issue even with my proof shown and told me to basically F-off and live with paying for a broken game!! I think everyone with this issue needs to look into a class action suit on blizzard unless they fix it!

The first cutscene I viewed as a topless druid was funny. But it gets less funny with each one.

Character appearance no longer customizable!

The slots are occupied and cannot be overwritten. Slot 1 in the character window shows pants instead of the character’s head, slot 2 shows pants and gloves on top. So I can’t even show the clothes that are on because slot 1 partially overwrites the view. I just bought the new add-on, and to be honest I find it really disappointing that such a basic function is simply broken!

Wardrobe not working, error message, "Weapon appearance will not be applied due to mismatch"

Wardrobe will not function at all, can not apply transmogs, change looks, or save ensembles. In the wardrobe my characters show pants as chest armor, gauntlets as main melee weapon slot, pants in off hand weapon slot and a sword in the ranged weapon slot. the rest of the slots are blank. It can not be overwritten, and no new saves take. No transmogs get applied, no changes in looks or items can be made. I too have this problem and have submitted bug reports and tickets.
I could not BELIEVE their first response,it was such a slap in the face:
“You can change the transmog of your character at any wardrobe in the game. Please make sure to save the changes to one of the slots and apply it to your character”

Transmog - Ensembles not working

Hello, I have updated Diablo 4 after a long break. Now I have the problem that the transmog no longer works. I can neither load old ensembles nor save new ones. Seems that in the old ensembles the position of some items was different to the current game. I ask for your support.

Can't save wardrobe / I'm wearing boots on my hands!

I bought Vessel of Hatred this week after about a year of Diablo IV dormancy. (Pre Loot 2.0). I’m unable to save my character’s wardrobe in any of the slots and I suspect its because my gloves slot somehow contains a transmog for boots. you should reach out to one of the companies doing mass litigation against video game companies. I’d sign up. They didn’t just cause this, they lost 2 of my characters completely. In 2024 there’s literally no excuse for that. You know I’d be fine with a few hours of progress… but that was quiet a while; and they offer nothing. You know, they give wow players an entirely free day when maintenance goes longer than the window. Us? you’d think they could throw us some platinum or an xp bonus or something to recreate the thing the F*ed… but no, they do absolutely nothing. They have our money so it doesn’t matter of they treat us right. Whereas is they anger wow players enough that’s a subscription fee that they might stop getting.

Fix the Wardrobe

The ensembles are a little screwed up. Im on Eternal realm which most people will laugh about, but its the only thing i play since work and life are too much for me. Anyway, myself and a good deal others cannot make their Wardrobe function properly. The ensembles are screwed up and transmogging does not work. On one of the ensemble pages, there is a pair of pants going through my characters body. Its weird, and my person looks stupid since i cant transmog. Hope this gets fixed.

Wardrobe ensemble issue

Ok, I’ve been away from the game for awhile, came back to a whole lot of changes. Had to redo all my outfits and redo all my abilities for my characters. I’m stuck on 1 where the character ensemble is showing my sorcerer wearing a Coldiron Vessel on her head and a Coldiron Jambiya as her armour and no matter what, i can’t remove them or save a new outfit, even with all her items removed. I was going to add a screenshot, but can’t see how to.

I started seeing this bug today. I added a new slot and now I can’t change anything in my wardrobe. The gauntlets are appearing as boots and nothing will save. I have unequipped/reequipped, restarted the game, etc. I have a screenshot where slot 1 appears to have a pants mesh in place of the weapon and there’s an error. Initially, I just wanted to add a new back acessory but nvm I guess, it’s totally broken

One thing I noticed tho, out of all the posts I have seen of this issue, I have never seen a screenshot of it. Dont get me wrong, I believe you guys 100%, I am just kinda interested as to how borked it really looks. Just my own curiosity.

Everything was fine until I tried to use those slots. I guess I’ll just scrap this character and not use the ensemble feature

Having the same issue, can’t get any sort of acknowledgment or response out of Blizz that this is being worked on, when people are beginning to suggest just outright giving up and deleting characters.

Wardrobe/Ensembles won't save so I can't spend money on new cosmetics

Why would I pay money for new cosmetics if I can’t use them? There is a pair of sovereign boots stuck in my gloves location under the ensembles. New ensemble slots are not allowing me to save. honestly, I just gave up, deleted my eternal characters and now mine are seasonal with the same appearance. I figure next season I’ll either

A) not play, for no reason other than not in the mood for diablo
B) play the characters I have on season on eternal
C) simply recreate them with the same appearance again.

my punishment for blizzard is this. I’m not buying their products again unless they’re on sale. I can wait. I’m not going to say “I’ll never buy blizzard again” because that’s not true. I can say I’ll never buy full price blizzard again and probably do that.

Unable to use Transmogs in wardrobe

For one character on my account, my original character that I first beat Diablo 4 with, the transmogs are stuck. The wardrobe shows a two handed axe in the chest slot, and boots in the gloves spot. Same issue. Works on 1 character I created for last season, but my main necromancer I cant save looks into my slot or apply. It says “appearance saved” but exit the wardrobe and nothing. I spent money for a second slot to see if that resolved the issue - nothing. ALso my head was pants. If I cannot transmog I probably wont play this game. One thing I love about Diablo 4 and World Of Warcraft is I can spend time playing dress up Barbie with swords… I want to look good while slaying my enemies. PC Bug Report Technical Support
