Wardrobe will not function at all, can not apply transmogs, change looks, or save ensembles. In the wardrobe my characters show pants as chest armor, gauntlets as main melee weapon slot, pants in off hand weapon slot and a sword in the ranged weapon slot. the rest of the slots are blank. It can not be overwritten, and no new saves take. No transmogs get applied, no changes in looks or items can be made. There is an error message in the wardrobe that says, “Weapon appearance will not be applied due to type mismatch.” probably because it has clothing and armor items in those weapon slots now! Unfortunately this renders a large part of the game inaccessible and all purchases moot!
Hello, i have the same issue.
After returning to the game, I tried to transmog my gear but I cannot save my Ensembles because my Wardrobe Slot 1 has a saved set that has an error stating “Weapon appearance will not be applied due to type mismatch”.
I have tried to replace all weapons, armor, skins etc. but I cannot save my Ensembles to any of the unlocked slots (the issue is probably with slot 1 but all slots are impacted).
Also in the Ensemble preview, there are flying “stone” pants in the middle of the character’s chest.
I would like to support the game and even purchase Illidan skin available on the store, but since my Wardrobe does not work, I have no reason to purchase anything, that cannot be used.
Also this seems to be impacting more players since many complains on reddit.

Same issue with pants stuck in chest and making appearance and cosmetic purchases unusable. There appear to be wrong equipment types showing up in the wrong slots. I tried unequiping all my equipement, loading presets, overwriting, confirming new looks, but nothing works.

I wonder if this is going to be fixed. My game did an update recently and it wasn’t fixed. I thought maybe it would have been since the actual bug was reported on release of expansion. I guess we will see

The worst part is according to past patch notes, this was a known bug that was patched out before. Keep bumping these posts, it’s affecting more and more characters every day.

As much as I don’t like posting on forums, this issue is really making my dislike the current state of the game. Some might say it’s a relatively minor issue, but since we have a mechanic to change our outfits, why the heck can’t we actually use it without being blocked because of an update? This is a known issue, it has been happening for months to so many people and it was supposedly patched out, yet here we are… Come on devs, please!

Are you all playing on eternal realm with old characters? Or is this happening to you on seasonal? And if you create a new character (eternal or seasonal), does the same problem persist?
Having the same issue. Cant change appearance at all. I bought a skin and can’t even use it. Im terrified to change any of my appearances on other toons.
Im going to have my bank withdraw charges. This is BS!
