Reset dungeon button gone!

Yah this has me considering refunding the game less there some kind of fix or replacement to it, considering how expensive game is already I don’t find it worth the asking price if replayability if removed without being forced into COOP.

Just a brief opinion on this topic - So Blizzard can see which way the winds blows.

This is a bad change, reverse it somehow developers, make it not clickable from the inside of the dungeon. That fixes the HC exploit.

Personally, I don’t generally re-run dungeons back to back, but some like to farm that way, both are a legitimate way to play.

I have a feeling this games replay-ability with the fact it is a MMo trying to make seasons happen is going to be none existent.

Pretty sure everything is gonna alright in the end. D4 is their baby (kinda like WoW) they want people to keep playing solo or not.

Its a problem the developers created, players will always take best possible way to acquire loot. So if there is no value probability of getting loot they want associated with clearing for instance trash, people will naturally skip the trash mobs. Same as they did in WoW with stuff like Molten core you would skip trash not needed too, that is more flaw with game design than fault of players.

Imagine would be many ways to solve it, one could be giving some kind of booster effect on roll drop chances for clearing whole dungeon opposed to just unique, elites and bosses for instance.

I was under the impression that was what Nightmare mode was for, surely they would have increased loot/positive bonuses for the difficulty increase.

Ah, surely they will. If they don’t the game is dead on arrival honestly. Why would you make it harder if there wasn’t a increase in reward.

Masochism? lol, they never really mentioned the positives in their blog.

I get the feeling it’s not about that, even if they try to pander it off to us as something else. They can tell how many times your toon itches his butt, they could easily put a cooldown or instance lock you if you’re abusing it.

I think it’s more about having fun on their terms and at their pace.

My understanding is that the normal ways to get the Dungeon map/mobs to reset will work. Logging out, doing content over time, joining a new group with a new lead.

The keyed dungeons have a different reset functionality using that key.

The entire discussion has been really confusing. I never used the in-game reset, but had my dungeons reset when I logged back in so that part works I guess?

The dungeons also reset if you simply completed them. But this change and their dev note begs the question: why would relogging still work if they put those locks in place to prevent resetting? Why even talk about a cap on how many reruns you can do in a row if a simple relog would skip those locks? That would be beyond silly.

Ez fix would be to give you 5 runs then a 2h timer then the dungeon unlocks for another 5 attempts.

Yeah the way I read it seemed like they were saying once you finish the dungeon its locked for you and that’s it. Until you have a sigil for it later on.

But either way, they already said they are working on a better solution so its kind of pointless to speculate anyway as that’s likely how it won’t go live.

Yeah but sigils unlock harder dungeons not the base version of said dungeon. they should give us a certain amount of runs before locking the dungeon with a timer

For sure, which is what they said they are working on.

There were a few times I did a dungeon and then later on got a quest to go back into it. So they won’t be able to completely lock it to one run only.

Sounds like world of warcraft and its generic, have you ever been locked out of farming instances in diablo before ?

Would that be a universal lock for all dungeons, or just for that specific dungeon, again something not really touched on or clarified.

like having some reasonable cap on how many times the same dungeon can be completed in a row to better support that style of play.

It is for one specific dungeons. That is clear enough.

My bad I forgot that part. In-before they add dungeon keys to the obol vendor like those random chest keys.

Yeah but devs don’t want us comparing previous titles to D4 that’s the thing here
