Im freaking getting tired of this mini disconnection ON TELEPORT

WTF, triple AAA game with trash service.

My net speed is on top (800Mbps - 1Gbps) Fibre.

WASTING OUR SIGILS and TIME!
Edit 1:

Holy cow now its not disconnecting.

its freaking CRASHING or NOT RESPONDING!

What stability fix are they doing?

Try manually setting your DNS to 8.8.8.8 for your PC/Console.

Does that help? Im getting constant D/C everytime i use the teleport function

I won’t know unless its tried.

I find no other reason for why that one action would cause it to disconnect you. (teleporting)

I played this game for over an hour tonight. No issues at all. Played really well. And I’m on a slow 8MB DSL line with an average latency of 75…

My point in trying the DNS, (google DNS btw) is to see if it helps bypass your local ISP DNS, in case that’s messing with the routing.

It won’t hurt to try, and you can easily change it back to automatic.

But if it fixes it… Well. That’s something.

Thanks will try it and update here if it fixes my problem. Has been getting 100% d/c everytime i teleport since the 1.1.1 patch.

I tried this and it didn’t work for me. I still get kicked to the character selection screen when I teleport into the more “major” cities. Not every time though. I think it might only happen if there’s a lot of people in there. It’s really frustrating. It didn’t start until after two updates ago. I was really hoping the last update would have fixed it.

Well, I appreciate you trying.

We can scratch that off the list then.

I appreciate the suggestion. Thank you. I am going to try disabling cross network play to see if it helps. It’s definitely an issue from the patch, but it would be nice to teleport and not lose what I’m currently doing, like a sigil. I feel your pain @Waymule.

I haven’t had any disconnects today after disabling cross network play. Could be a coincidence, but it makes me think that Blizzard may have added something to the game that causes just enough overhead for some players that we timeout when teleporting. You know, something that an offline mode would fix. haha

I’ve been getting this since the new patch, it’s very annoying! Fix it blizz!

Dc’d like 20x tonight just using teleports :rage:

Sadly, not everyone is having the problem.

I just got done playing for over 4 hours straight. No issues at all. I think it might have “stuck” for about a second on one teleport to a town, but that’s it. Very minimal FPS drops. Latency hit a high of 125, but was averaging in the 80s.

*shrug

Not sure what to tell some of you.

I will say the vendor load issue is still there. GPU spikes a ton on them still. But other than that, notta.

VRAM issues still look a lot better than before 1.1.1. patch. And I’m running on Ultra 1440p @ 100FPS.

I’m not sure you understand. My fps was fine ranging from 90-100+. But when I teleport to a major city it says network disconnection and puts me at the character select screen. My internet was fine didn’t get stuck on loading screen it just disconnects me to the character screen.

I didn’t have these issues before patch or even in beta.

I completely understand. Just saying its not affecting everyone. As usual, these problems that people report here are not world wide. If they were, it would be a lot more vocal.

Don’t misunderstand me, I’m not trying to belittle your plight. But the fact is, Throughout the past 2.5 months since launch, I have not had to deal with any of the issues plaguing some of you.

I have no idea why one specific task in the game would bork a connection. That makes no sense to me. So there has to be a correlation between something on the system and the problem, the internet those affected are running on, something.

I have nothing else to point a finger at, and saying its HAS to be Blizzard’s fault is not the answer, otherwise more of us would have the problem… Not that they couldn’t be a part of the issue. They obviously have some network traffic issues, especially when updating.

Anyway.

See this thread to provide details on your system regarding this issue:

-FPS Collapse after teleporting - #9 by DTMAce-1687

Getting a hunch that ever since another stash tab was made the D4 performance worsens,

FUDGE their coding system.
Who on earth lets a player loads another players inventory or stash tabs.
This may be applicable if the game has offline version OR lan but no

Why would DNS effect teleporting to town? Just curious, this is my first time to the forum because I didn’t want any spoilers build min/max ect ect. But I crash to launcher ALOT.

So back to DNS, when you teleport does the system change a server you may be connected to? or an instance? I have teleported to town to empty stash, re-entered portal to retrieve items on ground ( which were there) with respawn mobs there. So I don’t think DNS is an issue while teleporting.

I have lost a tree of whispers cache bag when crash to launcher ( I say launcher because its a blizzard error box with the code and the re-open or close click boxes)

I just crashed to launcher after Ashava world boss fight, when I teleported to town, (thankfully I didn’t lose anything) here is the code.
FD44B462-9343-413E-9549-A3A6D06A1226
Does blizzard have a database on these codes? I have been reporting what I’ve been doing at time of said crash.

Anyway, I am actually looking for some sort of feedback reporting for the ANTI-SOCIAL aspect of the new game. It is very difficult to group. I know console can’t type easily. I’ll leave it there.

I don’t think DNS is a network disconnect issue.

It actually isn’t a direct fix. However, if your routing via your local ISP DNS is sending you one way, sometimes using a different DNS can change how your traffic is routed. Locally here, I have to deal with a crappy DSL ISP (not mine) that actually has issues with their DNS. In fact, its quite common for their DNS to die, and unless I have already setup my customer with an alternate DNS, they have no internet.

So while these teleport disconnects seem to be symptomatic of one potential problem, they may be triggering a disconnect in the case of someone that already has twitchy internet to begin with, for one reason or another. Changing the DNS may do nothing, or it may alleviate the problem, as we are in layman’s terms, bypassing the problem, not fixing it.

I am still convinced these issues are part of a larger problem involving D4’s traffic, some ISPs that don’t like the traffic, and no one wanting to take ownership of the issue.
