I think this is why i enjoy tempering. If i have a suboptimal roll its no big deal, find another. Someone who spends $50-$200 for an item that rolls suboptimal the person cries and comes to the fourms to complain about tempering.
They need more systems like this to discourage RMT.
Not sure why you are specifically only calling out diablo.trade here. There are trading threads on the official Diablo Discord where your items can also go poof after trading. You can just find someone in game, trade with them, and then have your item go poof as well.

It’s funny to see people think it’s impossible to get that kind of gold without paying real money for it. Clearly people who don’t know that when they find really good items they don’t need, they can be sold for billions of gold instead of a couple hundred mil like they do on trade chat. You can hit over 100b gold just by selling BiS gear you don’t need and I’ve been using diablo.trade safely since the game was released. I’ve never experienced buying a duped item before and all I’m trying to do is warn people to be safe and you come here making silly accusations when you barely know how to make gold? Honestly, it’s a warning to people to be safe, I didn’t come here to hear your conspiracy theories lol.
Well there’s a positive to this… Some folx were theorizing that the devs made the drops such a pain so they could personally sell digital gear on diablo.trade.
So what’s the positive? Dev’s wouldn’t need to dupe, they could just invoke the game’s internal mechanisms to generate items to sell.
So while the duping thing is a problem, it’s evidence the integrity of the devs hasn’t been compromised. Something positive to look at anyway.

you can absolutely get enough gold or mats to do what you want without having to trade. people have been avoiding trade since game launch and have had no issues. even casual players can do it if they focus farm what they need.

i also want to point out, its not even a month into the season. theres still over 2 to go. why are people losing their minds about getting best of the best of the best this early? its obvious that blizz idiots designed the game (especially this season) to try to retain players the entire season length.

Yup, the market is a mess this season. When I post a gg item on discord I get a dozen messages saying it must be a dupe. And I don’t blame them for being suspicious. Hopefully they do something about the dupes

Diablo.trade is just a listing site - all of the transactions happen in-game. I don’t understand what the big issue is? That’s like saying finding a date on Craigslist is a bad idea. You guys need to grow up.
Are you new? People get scammed everywhere, including the in game trade channel. It has nothing to do with the site. Many of us have used .trade since the game launched, without any issues.
People keep buying time shares and that is a scam. Just because people are dumb enough to use it doesnt make it not a scam.

You’ve missed the entire point of the thread. Duping and scammers are the issue, not the platform where the trade was listed. As I’ve already pointed out, they’re doing this in the trade channel too. IN THE GAME.
Blizzard can just skip the middlemen and sell the items themselves for hard cash. I’m surprised they didn’t think of that! lol
Oh I’m sure they’ve been salivating at the idea of selling items including Mythics on their Shop for awhile lol…but people would complain it’s P2W for sure (not sure what you would be winning though, other than PVP which doesn’t really mean much).

I earned about 50m gold just playing the game over the weekend. People have lots of gold to trade. Making billions of gold by trading is entirely possible legitimately. I’ve only made 4 trades this season and made about 1b gold so someone whos put more time into trading could easily have 35b.
Just because you don’t play often enough to make gold or chose not to trade, does not mean everyone doing better than you is cheating.
Really weird mentality these people have.
Blizz does however need to do something to make trading in game more convenient rather than forcing people to seek sites to trade on

LOL you get it from selling items you find in the game I just sold a pair of boots earlier today for 8b and that was added to the 24b I already had so it’s easy if you just play the game and know what to sell, and since you can farm 4b an hour in Torment1 gold is ez!
