at this point in the game, bliz should just throw in the towel and disable trading and sell power on thier own cash shop and let you buy the mythics/mats from the creepy 3 1/2 finger gypsy

I’ve been gold capped in s4 and 5 and it’s through trading. I don’t RMT but I’m not ignorant and know someone outt there is from botters to be pumping this gold into the economy. Last season any atspd/crit/crit chance 2 GA+ gloves or rings or int/crit damage staff for a LS sorc was already a 45+ B gold it was ridiculous. I found a few and of course a 3 GA one I bricked
Until they fixed the gold problem, trading is the only way to go to get enough gold to reroll and master work.

Check the sellers other listings because it’s usually pretty obvious.
Instead of buying 4 ga stuff with perfect unique rolls, buy something cheaper, they don’t dupe them.

Yes they do. And they are the biggest complainers about tempering and master working. Because they paid a lot for that gear.

I’m a seller, not really a buyer (runes only) and I’ve sold close to 8B so far this season. I’m not sure why anyone wouldn’t sell their gear for billions of dollars. Granted this is an unfortunate situation, it’s the exception rather than the rule.
Also, duping and counter fitting has been around since the beginning of time in every real and fake economy. No governing body will ever be able to completely eliminate that issue.
Sad to say but this is the only thing we have until they give us an AUCTION HOUSE that way it can all be done in game and they can monitor and have a script check the item id of each item when it’s posted and if the same item id comes up poof it never hits the AH.

They could have a little goblin guy inspecting the item with a magnifying glass. And if it’s a fake, he zaps the character and that character is permanently deleted along with all inventory. haha…

Yea I don’t understand why it is so difficult to stop duping if all of these items have unique identifiers.
Blizz tends to keep quiet about stuff like this. But they are going to figure out how it is being done. And when they do, The forums will be on fire with post like I Got Banned For No Reason!

How did OP get 27 billion in gold? If you play enough Diablo to find 27 billion gold than you are going to have all the gear you need without having to trade. He bought the gold from another site and bought the dupe with his p2w gold.
D3 rules for trading is the only solution.

27B is doable, but not likely.
I bought a bac there and wondered if could be duped but i instantly put in a socket…im assuming its safe like with d2 runes…even if duped once socketed it was fine
tell that to everyone who doesnt use trade. tell that to everyone who grinds this slog of a season so they can actually do that stuff.
just because you dont want to waste time doing something, doesnt mean it cannot be done.
