I have ran D4 flawlessly for months and fine the past few days(even after latest patches.)
I downloaded PTR today and would not let me launch due to a 2 month old driver. I install and PTR is stuttering and crashes. It does the same on retail server.
I uninstall and revert to 560.81 driver and crashing still
I uninstall PTR and no change still crashing
All my graphical settings are the same
Scan and repair came back fine
UPDATE: I can’t even load Infernal Horde, it crashes on player load screen. Uninstalling and reinstalling game now.
You may have to use the DDU GPU driver removal tool. There are instructions on how to use it properly on their website. You can find a link to their website under this page:
Well that may be an indirect result of reverting the driver.
Some laptops also share the heatsink for both the GPU and the CPU too. My MSI with a 3050Ti shares its fan and cooler with the 10th gen Intel i5 CPU. So they often run similar temps when gaming on that laptop. Though I rarely game on it anymore. Its mostly used for office work nowadays.
I experienced the same thing. I had Windows roll the GPU driver back and that fixed it for me. Hopefully anyone else that’s having this issue can find an easy fix.
