Yeah, I appreciate somebody showing me something more than lamenting about peoples sheets being higher than they should be when being inspected. That part was guaranteed to happen if anybody had combined paragon and not changed anything.
I wasnāt ever trolling I just knew for a fact that my main stat from paragon was completely gone without playing any after and it was hard to believe that it comes back after gaining 1 paragon and had seen no in game evidence otherwise showing the paragon had been of actual benefit. It was always a hero inspect of my friend or some guy I know that wasnt live information

Edit: Maybe it has something to do with being solo mode.
As for me there is no point to return ruined season. Iāve already cleaned all the mails from the season. In the season now you have almost nothing. Better to end it and start new season. Or precise info how long will be that season at least.

Because I donāt dedicate a ton of time to the game every season. Most seasons since seasons began I never get over 800 Paragon, let along get past 1000. This was probably the 3rd or 4th season I have done that.
Even as I type this, Iām nearly back to 800 again. So the negative numbers have shrunk a ton since that video.
I do use solo mode, so I donāt do any group farming for experience. That does slow it down naturally.
I do know that the early end of season 33 gave me about 92 paragon points (1175 + the around 2300 something I had in non-season) rolled into my non-season paragon. If I can manage to get to 1175 or higher before the season ends again, that would add probably another 85-90 paragon additionally to the non-season paragon. lol
Also you said you did not log in before they restored the season, so I suppose you did not add your non season points to the main stat of your character. Probably you did not ābenefitā from the glitch, since you said you are only at -1175, which matches your previous S33 paragon.
I added the non seasonal points during the downtime when I cleaned up the mail and then started at around -2500 after the reboot, which is my total non seasonal paragon. Therefore, the mismatch is more severe in my case. And now imagine the people who added like 10+k paragon from non season. This clearly messes up the leaderboards (although I guess the integrity of these wasnāt that high anyways due to bots).

Oh yeah, it did add up to the -1175 so even though he got on the game, he just didnt combine and that kept him from getting the extra from nonseason makes sense. The behavior of it all is just strange. Getting more than 1 paragon upon your first level if you had combined, but not if you hadnāt combined.

Are you going to hotfix the negative paragon exploit? All it takes is just force reset all paragons for everyone.
Not wipe paragon, just reset.
Wipe for blatant cheaters would be nicer though.

I understand your frustration, but there are many checks that have to be performed. Players want a step by step explanation based on the issues that arise, and, as a multibillion dollar company, itās difficult to do that. Patience is key at this point.
Now, we may get an update tomorrow by end of business. The solution may still take another week or more to figure out. By that time, the season will be ending in roughly two or three weeks. For now, the more you play, the better chance for the techs to figure out what went wrong and how to fix and prevent it from occurring again.
You make it sound soooo easy.
So lets punish all the good players to get a few bad apples.
Glad you arenāt in charge. Iām closing in on earning back the points I lost, Iām not about to have all that progress erased because a few players are a bit butthurt over the leaderboards that frankly most of us donāt even care about.

Not even that really. Its an end of season blip exploit, if anything. It has nothing to do with the negative numbers, but rather the allocation of points from non-season to the seasonal hero. And its Blizzardās fault.
I still say if they feel inclined, they can ban the worst offenders that are obviously abusing it and leave it at that.

You didnt loose anything, you wanted to exploit, and you didnt rollback.
Im not even sure how it works because i could have abused that too, but i deleted my seasonal characters after 5pm on sundayā¦ So i needed a rollback. Didnt even got a chance to see if you are ātechnically correctā to say you REALLY had āānegative paragonāā.
Because all i see is having extra stats on players
