Season ending with short notice?

Only thing I can think of that could be wrong is that you bought 2 of the lvl60 ring recipes instead of one of each

They wonā€™t stack on to each other.

Probably?

Though it may be a bug due to this whole end and restart mess. So you may just have to deal with it till the next season. I hope.

Incorrect.

The level 70 version of the ring which uses the current Uber mats (4 of them) gives 45% bonus experience.

The old level 60 version which uses the old Uber mats (3 of them) gives you 35% bonus experience.

Yes, Iā€™m aware of that.

I had just gotten on here when I first posted and didnā€™t fix it. But sure, lets focus on that part and not on the issue itself.

This is strange. I launched the game, loaded into my seasonal char. Ended that session and swapped to a non-season char. I verified that the UI was showing all of the options with ā€œshow allā€. So in non-season I am able to craft a level 70 hellfire ring. I swapped back to my seasonal char, and Iā€™m able to train the jeweler on the level 70 hellfire ring recipe. Now I can craft a level 70 hellfire ring in season. The servers are scrambled eggs.

There have been reports that changing characters fixes some things too, so good to know.

No worries.

No need to get tweaked. Just didnā€™t want anyone to stumble on bad information.

The main issue is a big fail hard at Blizz HQ. There was never going to be an easy way to fix it. The best solution should have been to let the season stay ended and start a new one this Friday or next along with a nice apology and maybe throw us a bone and do double gobs next season, turn on holiday gifts for a couple months or something, just something to make good.

Welcome to the nightmare that is Season 33.

You may want to just read through the thread, there is a lot of info on the issue.

Essentially, the season ended early by mistake, they restored it sorta, and many players characters are in the same state as yours.

You can either play as is, or use one of your accountā€™s 3 rollbacks to fix it. But you have to choose a date before the 5th.

I personally chose to roll with it as is rather than use my rollback to fix their error.

Itā€™s a mistake but they still get metrics for when Altar appears at non-Season. A sweet deal if you ask me. I donā€™t think they will start banning people for their mess up though, but thatā€™s just an opinion.

altar in non-season means 150GR with low paragon - no reason to play seasons at all

That is BS following the nerf to the altar when they made it an ongoing seasonal feature and the nerf to top builds at the time such as Tals Meteor.

In S28, I managed a GR150 at P1600 with Tals Meteor.

Nerf to the altar was ~5GRs. And the nerf to the Tals Meteor build was ~5GRs too IIRC. Thatā€™s ~10GR levels that will need to be made up by paragons in NS.

Given one needs additional paragons roughly equal to 17% of oneā€™s main stat divided by 5 for enough additional dps to advance up one GR level, Iā€™ll let you figure out how many paragons is needed to clear GR150 in NS.

If anything, the Altar should be added to NS to compensate for the Tals Meteor nerf and bring QoL additions to NS (Fissures should be added to NS too). The disparity between NS and seasons when it comes to the farming experience is too big nowā€¦ thereā€™s bugger all reason to bother with NS apart from it being an interactive trophy cabinet.

I have decided that, even if I REALLY DONā€™T want to do that, Iā€™m not playing this season anymore.

Something in my moral compass tells me itā€™s wrong to dedicate time to people that donā€™t do enough to keep me around as a player, nor respect my time as a customer.

I would have appreciated some form of communication around here. But alas, the last news I could find were from Pez in this same thread.

I really, really hate how this company is blindly set to burn itself to the ground.

They have all the winning cards, yet every decision has been to intentionally play the worst card in every turn, while also disrespecting the ones that brought them to the megacorp staus they have nowadays.

A shame. A real shame. I know this isnā€™t the Blizzard that took my gaming heart by storm. But every single time they remind me they arenā€™t that amazing company no moreā€¦ it saddens me once more.

Sorry for this, Some of Blizzardā€™s games have been with me for quite a huge portion of my life. I do sometimes get carried away by the feels.

whispersā€¦ ā€œAltar and Fissures in NSā€¦ Altar and Fissures in NSā€¦ Altar and Fissures in NSā€

But in all seriousness, it wouldnā€™t be a bad idea to make NS more desirable to play than the interactive trophy cabinet it is now. Might help rein in the backlash when something like this happens when NS is actually fun to dabble with while they figure out the seasonal issue or work on getting the next season started.

Iā€™m not sure whether you are trolling since several people have reported about the paragon glitch in this thread before but if it gives you peace of mind, you can find evidence in the screenshots for my character here:

https://imgur.com/a/3f1CAYN

My character has over 9k mainstat without any items equipped although I am only back to paragon 202 after the reboot of the season (and was around 1400 during the season and around 2500 in non-season after the accidental stop of S33).

I only did a T16 rift to get some GR keys and a GR77 to unlock primals again after the season was rebooted on EU. However, I then realized my mainstat was way too high and stopped playing since I did not want to take advantage of the glitch. Iā€™m considering a rollback but Iā€™ll give Blizzard a few more days to see if they come up with something or stop S33 quickly (in which case I donā€™t need to waste a rollback).

This mess-up has somewhat diminished my desire to play S33 (although I originally had high ambitions to make my way towards GR150 for the first time).

Ya, I purposely left that one out as it would get a lot of people riled up off the main topic. They actually need to add the Altar (or at least the QOL) simply because it is the right thing to do, not as a bonus because they screwed up. On top of this, it wouldnā€™t make most the seasonal people happy who got jammed in the first place.

The problem with Blizz isnā€™t that they make mistakes (all companies do at some point). The problem with Blizz is they are completely and utterly incompetent when it comes with dealing with their customers when they do make a mistake. They have lost far, far more customers the last decade or so because of how they have handled their mistakes, not because they made mistakes.

Ehhh, no. Remember, the altar got watered down to 1/5th its previous values because it was being made a part of seasonal play permanently and having it at full power would combine with seasonal themes to be massively OP. If non-seasonal were to get the altar it would likely be the current form, not the original and more powerful form.

Another thing to remember was, builds were nerfed to accommodate the nerfed Altar and Seasonal themes, including non-season builds. Adding the Altar to non-season would just restore some of that power that was nerfed in the big balance patch.

Unlocking Altar from scratch takes me about a good week or so; this includes leveling up to 70, farming enough materials, doing Season Journey at the side and so on. Given that I play around a hour or two per day, only solo, Iā€™d say I represent the average casual player.
However, with having non-Season paragon and only focusing on it; I unlocked about 23 out of 26 seals and two potion powers in about four hours of game play. This gives you an idea about how broken the progress could be, let along the power it brings. Activating rest of the seals are only about some luck, as last few remaining are very trivial.

Now that we have a Season with non-Season Paragon I reckon after you done complaining with Season reset, you all going to bicker about Altar not being in non-Season. For this I say that itā€™s no use to discuss; itā€™s their game and they would add it if they had the means. For now, they may record some metrics, but them recording it does NOT warrant them adding it. I say, enjoy this while it lasts.
