A Quick Word from Blizzard

Acti-bliz could do what Apex Legends did and not announce D4 until its done.

Hey folks. Have you seen that the dislikes in DI trailer have been reduced from 700k to 300k?.

Diablo Immortal Gameplay Trailer - YouTube

There are two uploads for Blizzcon trailer for EU and US, also there’s a gameplay trailer and mayhaps a hidden non-public. As I know Blizzard did quit on making any further fiddling on the like-dislike ratings of these videos months ago.

That’s gameplay trailer. As I recall 700-800k dislikes were at the cinematic trailer. You’re free to check… Well, I just did. D:I Cinematic trailer sits at 751k dislikes.

Oh my bad, you are right. I got the wrong video. Well at least my dislikes are still on both of them

Here’s a question: One of Blizzard’s core values is “every voice matters.”

Anyone here feel like your voice matters? When was the last time you did, if ever?

And every voice does matter. It is just some matter way more than others. For instance, Chinese mobile PTW voice matters a hell of a lot more than PC fair pay for fair content voice matters.

Don’t know if the player base can wait until November 2038.

Yes, but when there is always a voice that matters more than yours…that’s the very definition of your voice not mattering.

But, I get it, and you’re right. Cash is king. Always has been, always will be. It will always be the loudest voice in the room.

Unfortunately for us, making a great game isn’t the best way for Blizzard to make money anymore. But God, it was so awesome when it was. Fans really benefitted from it. Nowadays, why rely on production quality and compelling gameplay when you can make even mooooore money by preying on addictive personalities with microtransactions? As a matter of fact, why even make the predatory cash-printing game yourself? Have NetEase do it for you!

I hate that the phone game is going to be a financial success for them, reinforcing this sort of garbage business practice. Oh well. I’m grateful I got to see video gaming before microtransactions and pay to win was the norm.

Sure it matters if it allows to gain more money from D3 RoS than it matters.

Why bother about anything the PC community asks for or needs if instead of making a 2nd expansion for every platform it’s better to make (the same) game for smartphones, cause yeah: “Don’t you guys have (1000$) phones?”

It’s not all lost yet.

As much as I hate governments and their tendency to drag their feet on things regarding technology, they may be the gamers’ only real chance to minimize or prevent this scumbag behavior by the games industry from becoming a norm.

US Congress has a bill that aims to ban loot boxes, particularly for games rated for kids and a UK parliament inquiry recommended that they be regulated under gambling. Belgium and the Netherlands have banned them outright.

and both of them could be rumbling on until after diablo 4 ships which is at best 2021.

Ah well, September came and went, and no blue post in sight. Way to *go @Nevalistis :+1: Community management at its finest. I’m so glad that Activision Blizzard cares so much about their customers.

I havn’t not been on these forums for awhile and I am not suprised that we have seen nothing.

Even the Warcraft Reforged people have seen ZERO information since Blizzcon.

Do they have a PR and marketing department?

we have a community team that doesnt like to interact with the community. dont worry someone will be along in a minute to make up excuses that they arnt allowed to say anything, if so why start the original thread in the first place.

as times gone on iv gone from feeling sorry for the community team to just feeling embraced for them and their inability to actually do anything. meanwhile we have people falling over themselves on here and reddit still trying to protect them from critics.

end of the day they made a post saying they would listen and answer questions then left it on the old forums when they moved them, something they would have known was happening so maybe this was the plan all along.

Simple - it was damage control.

But instead of doing the dirty work of cleaning up the mess they created, they basically phoned it in with responses that were heavy with meaningless and hollow PR buzzwords. Committed to listening and engaging…

It says a lot about who and what they are as a company, specifically the mindset and culture.

CONGRATULATIONS NEVERLISTENS and their bosses. 11 months of absolutely NOTHING. Cant wait for you blue post promoting diablo 4 (alias the new dissapointment from Bli$$ard).

I wouldn’t say absolutely nothing we still get new legendary powers to useless legendary items, this season we got crafting sets redesigned and we have promised new class sets for each class.

Nevalistis who is D3 RoS community manager posts on the forum and tries to find a solution to current problems with the Armory profiles or clans…

Here are threads where you can see Nevalistis posts who is aware of the current problems we have…

I’m the last person to defend Blizz in anything, but saying they’re doing nothing at all is a bit too much…

I haven’t seen a blue post in here or the previous “A Quick Word from Blizzard” addressing any problems. I think you might be mistaken on their commitment to communicating like they promised. They said they’d get back to us when they had some concrete information on how to proceed with our disapproval of Immortal. We are still waiting.
