Define “easily”.
If I run with my Hammerdin to Baal… the 2nd wave is magic immune. So I would need to play around with a Mercenary to get that down. It is possible, but “easily”… I don’t know.
“Easily” would be, when they have a high resistance and I do very little damage to them, and have to whittle them down. Yeah you can argue that playing with the Mercenary is also considered “easy”. But is it fun? For you maybe, not for me.
But yeah… I don’t have to play Diablo 2 Ressurected.
that is a very small gripe that as you pointed out, it isn’t a big hurdle to overcome. plus all classes & builds have their strengths and weaknesses, they have areas that are best suited for them, you’re just cherry picking one somewhat crappy situation when in reality a lot of people complain hammerdins have it way too easy with being able to farm most of the game without any problems. i have to utilize static shock + merc quite a bit with my blizz sorc, I consider such things trivial and “easy”.
but yes we can agree that it isn’t for everyone, I can’t think of any video game that is for everyone. I play Apex Legends with my son even though I don’t think it is really that fun.
Yeah, thats a true fact about Diablo 2, sadly. I mean okay, the other fact is that Diablo 3 is not even half as good as diablo 2.
But yeah, lootruns are outdated and boring.
Yeah I realize there are very few Magic Immune enemies in the game, as few as there are Physical Immune enemies.
But there are many more examples… I was looking at allot setups and there is always something.
yes but nothing is wrong with skipping certain monster packs or having to find alternative methods to killing something…or play in a group! I have the most fun playing with my son and my classic d2 friends, awesome when we have a game going and we’re all different builds/classes. D3 made it possible for everyone to kill everything using anything which is fine but not my cup of tea…
look at playing by yourself as extra challenge and the benefit is all loot for you 
the servers can handle the player base
I don’t really agree with OP about Diablo II VS Diablo III OTH I just saw mention of a video on youtube about “Why PDII Will Outlive DIIR” and so far with all the issues I’d have to agree as it seems it’s working better than DIIR as well as having new content PS OP as a buyer of DIIR he/she has just as much right to give his/her opinion as anyone even an over opinionated persons as yourselves
If you don’t PVP, i could see why D3 is better.
But why would anyone be playing D2 and not pvping? Go back to D3 if your just want to kill mobs and look at 5M, 10M, 54B damage.
but the actual gameplay in d3 is more boring imo, instead of being able to build any skill set you want you’re limited to a handful of options with some modifiers. There’s far less depth.
Disagree PVP/PKing is one of the main reasons that actually make DIIR worse not better, As to why I Prefer DII or DIIR to DIII that would be mainly the skills and itemization
Gameplay… combat itself is better in D3. Both have their meta builds and others that are weak (summon druid). D3 has much better QoL, like armory where you can quickly switch gear to play whatever build you feel like. Neither game has a lot of depth really.
Cause the pvp is outdated and other games offer way better pvp. Also there is no competition in pvp atm. And ppl seem to have gotten worse at the game. Maybe its cause ppl got old and have slow reactions i dont know.
I don’t care about PvP in Diablo, it’s super unbalanced and kinda boring to me.
Usually I’m a quite competitive player, for example I peaked Top500 in Overwatch, but when I play Diablo, I just wanna chill and slay some demons 
There is never anything in D2 that can’t be handled by every class and every build in some way or another (only possible exception is Ubers, and I think we all agree that’s okay and Ubers should be as difficult as they are). Now, you may not have the gear to, or the tactics to, or the skill to, or whatever else. But that’s on you, not on the game and its difficulty. D3 you can just hold right click, close your eyes, turn your brain off, and come out of that GR 130 or whatever without dying a single time. D2 is not so casual or easy, and that’s a good thing. D2, even the most godly geared characters can die to a nasty unique pack or two. You can’t close your eyes and turn off your brain in D2 and expect a cakewalk. Again, this is a good thing. This is part of why D2 is so well-crafted.
at the moment i agree d3 is better until they fix all the crap wrong with d2, then my opinion is going back to d2

it’s not better than d2, d2r is just not supported by anyone & hasn’t had any major patches since the olden days
