It would be a breath of fresh air if they shared a development road map for where they would like to take D2R, but unfortunately I’m only expecting total radio silence.
Hope Blizzard considers some or all of the proposed QoL changes for 2.5. These just make the game better.
IDK how about spending some of the money I sent you (again) on stable servers??? fourth time today I have been kicked off of servers losing EVERYTHING that I have earned since starting, yet preventing me from reloading because you know my character is trapped in your game??? You KNOW you kicked me off, but you are happy to screw me out of my progress and stuff that I have earned since starting my session…
FFS outsourcing your ISP protections to the people who actually pay your bills is a terrible business model. Some of us actually remember when we owned your games instead of renting them. We have the highest amount of disposable income and treating us like crap is a wonderful way to send us to other games.
This QoL might be related to loot filter, nevertheless it’s worth mentioning, as I found it really useful:
For rich, official version players should be allowed to choose color of a pillar, and set different pillars for item types, but even in this simple version it is really nice.
- Separate currency tab that is account-wide that allows stacking of runes, gems, keys, organs, essences and tokens
I’m sorry but I have to be against this…
Why? Because it’s the inferior way to do it and if this is the route taken, we will never have the best version of it
No to currency tab because the best way is simply stacking everywhere. Stacking everywhere does everything currency tab does and 10x more
Currency tab is only improving storage
While stacking everywhere is about improving storage, cube recipe, gameplay and trading
- Locate Cain next to Stash in Act 5
Agree, ideally Cain location should be customizable
- Add in-game Holy Grail Checklist
Yes, but what about a holy grail tab or a trophy room
- Add in-game Horadric Cube Recipe and Runeword Encyclopedia
1000% agree
Cube recipes knowledge could be integrated in the game through the Horadric scroll
Normal gets you basic recipes involving lower runes and gems and utility recipes
Nm scroll gives you recipes with mid runes and flawless/perfect gems and normTOexceptional recipes
Then hell gives you recipes involving upper runes and elite upgrades
- Add Loot Filter that is curated by Blizzard so everyone has access to same filter
Agree, a loot filter creation tool with Simple & advanced settings. Add a ingame trading interface like traderies where you can select affixes and ranges and use it also for the loot filter
- Add option to show iLvl on items and enabled via a toggle in Options Menu (helps when crafting and socketing)
Must
- Add item quality indicator for Normal, Exceptional, Elite (helps when upgrading)
Don’t see why not
- Add refresh button to Merchant Screen
Agree, people do it already, just make it less clunky
Ideally I would charge a fee to refresh
- Druid can now cast Battle Orders and Battle Command in shapeshifted form
I don’t mind, they are Barbarian ancestry afterall
- Allow players to pick up unidentified Anni/Torch/Gheeds, but prevent them from being identified while one is already in inventory
Agree, as long as it’s made clear that only one applies and it shows which one is
- On Character Selection Screen, add ability to move characters up and down on screen rather than list of last played
Yep
- Add option to launch game in Legacy Mode and enabled via a toggle in Options Menu
- Add option to turn off Mature Language Filter via a toggle in Options Menu
1000% agree, the game is already rated M, profanity filter should be a choice, not forced upon you
- Add option to turn off Enemy Health Bars via a toggle in Options Menu
Ok
I would add item art transmuation to this list
Looks have zero impact on performances and I would consider it a quality of life to not have to endure a michmash of different item style on a character
Wether added as a cube recipe that randomly changes the look of the cubes item to something else of the same item type within a pool of appearance from normal, set, Unique, quest items, gemmed items
Or
Integrate it as a quest reward upgrade through Anya
From my vantage point, the vast majority of the community would support a separate currency tab that is shared account-wide for stacking runes, gems, keys, organs, essences and tokens. Is this a perfect solution, maybe not? But this change would be a drastic improvement to inventory management.
Why defend the currency tab only stacking solution when tab+global stacking would be an easy perfect solution
There’s an old saying, “Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good,” which is insisting perfection may prevent implementation of good improvements.
Ye have my support of a shared currency stack tab. I also believe that the stacks should be limited to 40; the amount of individual spots in your inventory backpack. Should have an easy way to shift tab all 40 at once to the backpack.
They literally have the code for global stacking perfected by mods like PD2
While afaik, no mods have currency tabs
The D2R devs stated in the dev interview that inventory stacking is never going to happen, they were very staunchly against it.
They were open to stacking in the stash though, I’ll find the timestamp for these and post them here.
1:15:24 if the timestamped link didn’t work.
Llama asks “Stacking of runes or currencies? And loot filters?”
The stacking of gems or runewords [sic] or other things like “can I stack them in my inventory?” No. We probably won’t ever allow that.
Can you stack them in a special stash tab like this is my runeword stash tab? Those are conversations that do happen but it’s also happening at the same time when it’s like “will there be more stash tabs?”
I think we would probably raise those questions up because the goal is that you only have so much space and you have so much stuff. If we let that stuff stack, well maybe we don’t need to give you another stash tab because you now have stacking. It’s in that conversation but we don’t have anything right now.
this high priority case need to be addressed. the text covering all the damn potions when you mouse over belt potion slots. move the damn text away, please! i can’t see if i got space left on the top slots because the text is in the way…

Overall chat functionality
Added option to turn off language filter.
Added some older battle.net commands:
/f l will list all your friends currently online in diablo 2 resurrected
/f m will message all friends currently online in diablo 2 resurrected
Block list is now stored offline and has no limit
Players can now create a text file that will be used to filter out messages if they contain certain patterns
In-game chat functionality:
Can now properly typed when dead
Moved chat to center of screen like the original game
In-game UI changes
Changed party bar to go across horizontally across the top of screen like in LOD
Advanced stats tab now shows total resists (an 80 hell resist would been seen as 180)
Lobby changes
Can now make new rooms and invite people to those rooms
Players do not all go to the same lobby upon entering d2:R
Game list changes
Games ending in numbers over 1 hour will be hidden
All Games over 2 hours will be hidden
The games list no longer has a limit to how many games you can scroll down to
Games list will now always properly show players in game and game time
Clicking on a game in the games list will not auto-populate the game name into the text box
Leaving a game will auto-populate the previous game in the games text box
Leaving a game with a number will now auto-populate that game’s with number increase by 1
Games list can now be filtered in a newly added “filter” box
Could be something like, you give an item to Decard Cain to inspect (through a window like imbue\socket\personalize) and he responds with the item level and what runewords and recipes it can be used in. Could also make him charge a small amount of gold for it, would be a fun gold sink.
i suspect that merchant list is not per player but per game, so that would need to be changed first. But really… instead they should just let em always have all the merc types, no need for extra buttons.
How about just make only the first one that was equipped have an effect. You could have all your inventory full of annis but only 1 will work, other will have red background and some text like “Only 1 such item has an effect”.
See my suggestion about in-game encyclopedia.
I’d just love the ability to switch to legacy character selection screen. I miss it so much.
that’s interesting, you mean for controller input or in general? How would you then see monster name and stats?
And give us some hotkey to pan the map with mouse, PLEASE.
I’ll just say that loot filters are abhorrent and I think noone should use them. To me, loot filter, maphack and botting are things of the same kind but different magnitudes.
When has ever durability stopped you from using something? Shako has to have SOME downside
Talking durability, i’d rather have Smite and Kick not reduce weapon durability, but shield and boots instead (funny, assassin kicks with 1 boot, so only 1 boot should break )
Why? The price is rather fair, in my opinion. And there’s a recipe for recharging
I wouldn’t go for %s. %s are for unique items. But some flat value, sure why not. I think they already exist in the game data, just not enabled.
Uber portals - yes
I was disagreeing on Tristram before because I thought it’d be too bad for playthroughs, but now I think it’s fine. It would actually be fun for playthroughs to have this even higher difficulty spike. Good luck hitting anything though
Crypt - NO. This area is too easy to be level 85. Mausoleum is too, but it has low density so i can give it a pass. But if you’ll have both crypt and maus 85, it’s way too good for how easy the areas are.
And besides, level 83 area is still great.
Completely agree with this logical change.
This would be a good change to add ability to have party bar go across horizontally on top of the screen. Give players option to choose horizontally or vertically.
I also want VR added. It would be so cool to be in a sort of Viritual Boy world where i can pet Deckard Cain or mouthbreathe in town next to Larzuk while he responds to my mic input.
That may be too dangerous as Succubi are beautiful and seductive demons, and so tempt mortals into evil and to death.
Thinking about this idea more, this would be a great way for the developers to introduce an in-game Horadric Cube Recipe and Runeword Encyclopedia and would be a fun gold sink.
