Currency tab Vs ingredient stacking

Tldr of the picture:

Currency tab:

  • allows you to stack specific items in a specific tab

Ingredient stacking

  • allows you to stack specific items where every you want

  • stash, which allows you to manage your ingredients more easily and place them where you want

  • inventory, which allows you to manage your ingredients more easily and also make you need less back and forth to town when you pick up gems and runes while slaying monsters

  • cube, which allows you to reroll GC, up gems, up runes, create tokens more easily

  • trade window, which allows you to complete high quantity trade more easily

Why ingredient? Because they are all cube recipe ingredients or a result in the case of tokens

Note: I’m in favour of both together , but it’s easy to understand that because of its expanded properties, ingredient stacking is superior than just a currency tab. I’m just scared that people stick so much on currency tab that the opportunity to stack stuff everywhere is missed

The tab is the only method the devs said they would consider.

Individual stacking just wont happen.

Well they also said this would be a remaster

They also said ladder would be by 2021 end

They also said they’d support modding

What they say doesn’t seem to be set in stone fingers crossed they change their mind on this one too

Yeah? So far that has remained true. Cant deny the game core is the same, just QOL and item updates, some area updates, nothing drastic that makes this a different game.

You sure about that? Pretty sure all Ive ever seen from them is “shortly” or “soon” and other vague non committal answers.

Ill give you that one, they indeed 180’d on mod support. So far.

So far they have held true to keeping D2, D2… Not going down the road that most of these GenZ gamers want who makes 50thousand threads wanting the game to become a hybrid of D3, POD, pD2, POE, ABCDEFU!

If they would just focus on the main issues that actually piss players off, they would win the war with all of those other games.

Nice generalisation and strawman

A lot of what you call Genz are actually old school gamers like me that most likely started playing Diablo 2 before 99% of the purists here

Also, nobody is asking for D2R to become other games, people just want improvements, evolution and it happens that sometimes those game have managed to find solutions to the problems that D2 has, the giant on which shoulder they stood on

They already increased character tab to 20, made it where you didn’t have make a mule game to drop item drop only to lose it because you got DC’d to me thats the only tab stacking QoL expansion you need.

they said 2 weeks to flatten the curve

Maybe… or they are claiming to have played that long. If we are doing the measuring contest, I started with D1 and I bought D2 on release.
I think what is more relevant here with these 2 types of gamers, is their actual enjoyment of the game.
“Purist” D2 players, just want D2 with the QOL and some non game breaking, game changing changes. 99.9% are not against changes period, they are against core changes such as loot adjustments, charm inventory, rain from the sky drop adjustments, ect…

The “purists” want the game to actually function as promised with this leap to D2R. Stable servers, stable games, no ques, an UPGRADE to the lobby, channels, game list ect… NONE OF THAT HAS HAPPENED YET!
We want this BEFORE changes to characters, skills, gear, ect.
I want both, but I want them to be masters at crawling and walking before they sprint down the new runewords, skill buffing train that seems to have their full attention.

I truly beleive it wont matter what they do to fluff up the games appearance and content, if the wheels are flat, no one is staying on the bus.

Uh, yes they are LOL. Just because you ask for Apple features on a PC and claim adding those wont make a PC a Apple/PC hybrid, doesnt make it true.

Big difference in what some of the spammers are wanting, and improvements…

Lol “increased character tab to 20” —> “looks at 100+ characters in legacy D2” —> Hmmm…

It’ll be over by Easter 2020

I never understood people that fill to maximum characters and it’s not because of mules

Like, can you try to finish your characters?

Currency tab would be a godsend. While they are at it can they please take the gems out of the rune combo recipes? It’s tedious and honestly makes me not want to pick up anything below a Hel rune due to all the random chipped junk gems I’d need to farm from lower difficulties to combine them.

While i used to agree for a while

if we get stacking or currency tab, i dont think gem is an issue for the recipe since now you can hoard them

you dont have to waste stash space for crappy gems anymore, they have their own slot thats there weteher you use it or not

Good point about the gems stacking making the recipes less annyoing. It also depends on how high they can stack. 10? 40? 100? I think 40-50 is a nice number

The removal of gems in cubing runes is more a convenience /qol change, No one likes stopping meph/baal/whatever runs to go run lower level content for that stuff

What do you mean? Do you even know how many builds are possible in D2? And fun? It’s far more than 20. And that’s only talking about non-ladder softcore expansion. You do know there are other modes of play, right? Mathematically we’d need 48 character slots with ladder coming out, to even be able to create one of each class in each mode. Let alone if you want to make more than one of each character (you know there are several types of bowazons and jav/spearzons alone, right? Now multiply that by each character and however many builds they have). Realistically we should have something more like 100 to unlimited character slots. Does this help with your understanding? Sorry I don’t want to just play blizz sorc and hammerdin and javazon only and forever, I actually enjoy playing the game and using my brain and finding ways to succeed with other types of gear and gameplay. I also didn’t even mention all the various PvP level breakpoints that would be necessary…nor did I even mention mules, which are also sadly still necessary.

3 is a solid choice if enough inventory is provided. Alternatively, 30 or 60. Than also allow for cube to upgrade multiple gems at once.

Adding just a currency/ingredients tab isn’t going to be enough if the character limit remains 20.

Either options, a currency tab and/or stacking ingredients would be a great addition to the game.

Oh I’m not saying the opposite

Just that stacking is best best option as it offers more perks than just a currency tab

In order it should be stacking then currency tab

But adding currency tab first would most likely make it so we never get stacking, therefor lose on so many perks
