Do you enjoy immunity mechanic? Does it make the game more fun for you?

https://strawpoll.com/voywe9bdr

be honest with yourself when voting

When you fight the ancients or the council with your elemental build and one of them is immune to you, does this make the game more fun?

When you fight cows, are you happy they are not immune to anything?

Update: as of 246 voters, the immunity appreciation is at 1.23/3, 41%

Yay more sekscalibure polls that will not change the game! Be sure to get all your theorycraftiing in here folks! I’m so glad blizz has not given in to any of his ideas. He wants the game more like PoE but quitting d2r and leaving us alone for PoE is not an option smh…

I now know why your name is guitar

you have so many strings that can be easily pulled to make you scream

Lol imagine seeing a neutral post asking people opinion without giving his, as asking for changes

Your analogies and your trash talking is still utter garbage. I’m so glad they aren’t implementing any of your crap. The fact that you’ve posted these threads at least a hundred separate times and no one gives a crap should tell you something…and only noobs struggle with immunes smh…

This question is like asking a player of a slot machine if they like loosing. And I am not even talking real money slot machines here, just those “social casino” games.

People think they don’t like immunities, but if they are removed people would play this game less, I guarantee you that.

Nah this question is more “do you think this challenge mechanic really adds challenge or is just bad and detrimental to the game”

The immunity mechanic makes it so people can’t just blindly click their way through. It serves as an obstacle to overcome… It makes you have to use more than just the essential braincells needed for clicking a mouse button repeatedly.

Imagine a single character being able to do all the content. Much less reason to make another character then.

I am honestly even a bit mad at the cold mastery change, now I can farm Nihlathak with my blizz sorc very well, no point in making another character for that…

This is what i mean that immunities make people play more

well the answer is obviously no… itd a stupid mechanic… the real question is … how are you going to remove them without fundamentally breaking d2.

its something i have given a lot of thought to… and i came up with an answer a couple months back after years of searching for a way to not break the game while doing it.

Killing all hungry people also solves for world hunger

It doesn’t mean it’s a smart way to do it nor the only one

I think it’s fun to make multiple sets of gear, some items just for specific areas. So no, I don’t think immunities are bad. Just makes the game more interesting.

I don’t enjoy them. This is a Hack & Slay Game not Dark Souls. I even hate the Stamina Mechanic. To be Fair: Maybe Immunites are meant because for the “Hell” Difficulty and You can avoid Immunities. The Sorc even has a Elemental Resist Reduction for Cold Spells with can get over 100% with +Skills. Beside Hybrid Builds - Play with People that use other Elemental Damage. ^^

It’s always been a great weakness of immunity mechanic defence that random monsters are immune but most bosses don’t get that perk

As for this, Instead of removing stamina why not make it relevant? Attacks now cost stamina as well as Mana. Stamina now increases your attack physical damage based on your left stamina

Making another character wouldn’t fix your original character being unable to kill an immune. Your new char would just have an immune it couldn’t kill.
Until you are rich and can get infinity of course

Yep, current immunity system is based on players ability to circumvent it with wealth rather than talent

I dont like imunities on specific ninibosses like ancients countes izual trav council etc…
On normal mobs its fine

Hate immunes. Every character should be able to kill every monster.

I dont build a trapsin because my cold sorc cant handle cold immues. I build a trapsin because I want to kill stuff in a different way.

The argument thay I wouldn’t build other characters just because I can kill everything with my sorc, is utter nonsense.

The whole damn point of the game is kill stuff and get loot. Not run away from it because you cant do any thing more than tickle it with a limp noodle.

Well you’re wrong here. With talent you can kill any monster.

I am currently playing through on a frozen orb + hydra sorc, and i killed the fire and cold immune countess. I don’t have a strong merc weapon, but i found a way - i just got a poison damage bow, abused the fact that countess doesn’t go into another room and killed her with the low damage merc.

If that’s not “talent defeating immunity”, then how do you see it?
