Do you enjoy immunity mechanic? Does it make the game more fun for you?

You could use that same logic to refer to the whole game.

Mandatory alternate path

If you are forced to use another skill it isn’t your choice

But let’s say the replace immunity with super resistant monsters

Then you have the choice between keeping using your main skill or using another skill of which monster doesn’t resist

The essence of Immunity is suppose to be a speed bump, but it’s in fact a wall with toll where you can pay to bypass that wall

Making monsters super resistant would be that speed bump

With how many items can you do the whole game? All of them

With how many items can you break a monster with 240 resistance on a sorc? 0

With how many items can you break the immunity of a monster with 140resist on a sorc? 1

Indeed same thing mate

My melee sorc could care less about immunes I beat them down with a phase blade. I’ve honestly never had a problem on any other chars I’ve played either because there are so many ways to deal with them. Immunities are fine the way they are I enjoy the difficulty.

Okay you got a point there. I agree that there should at least be a reasonable amount of ways to kill all monsters, even if the monsters are skippable.

i dont like it , but i think is need for this mindless min max meta to stop player to 1 click the map and bot , 1,09 meta remaine the best in my opinion

I dont like when there is no viable answer possible to that immunity. Like zealot and physical immune. Sure u can use azurewrath or lawbringer, both extremely slow at damaging physical immunes. Lawbringer is good at taking down one single but not 20. Wish lawbringer would be more expensive but with high enhanced damage. Now skipping immunes is best way to fight them. Immune is good way to bring some diversity but not in state of this game, where it lacks proper answers.

The player base seems very divided. It’s almost like people want 2 different games with the same cover.

I like the immunity system. It forces me to think and use all possible ways to deal with certain situations. I don’t have any of the high rune words and I am not a hammerdin. I play solo self found only, mostly HC.

If you are a necro summoner, you can walk over almost everything.

If you are a sor, you have to dual elemental, and make sure your merc is physical.

If you are a trapsin, you have fire blast for lightning immunes, or lead them to corpses and use death sentry.

If you are an amazon, a maxed Valkyrie can kill anything for you. If she can’t, resummon her. Her weapon is random.

If you are a physical build, your life will be harder, as you will have to find weapons and/or shields that provide enough elemental damage, and have open wound/bleed/poison to negate regen because it will take long to kill each one of them. To compensate, there are far less PIs than other immunities.

If you are a druid summoner, you can’t be just a summoner. Max fissure and volcano at least.

If you ran into multi packs of blood lords, you run for the hills. Eventually you are the most powerful being, as soon as you close the game, all murderous monsters disappear.

Jokes aside, if one day we really come to the point D2 turns into something like D3, please just make it optional, like HC or no HC, immunity or no immunity. This way both group have the game they want.

The playerbase seem divided but it’s not that much

You hear much more people say immunity is good but when you poll it goes the other way

You hear much more people against changes but when you poll it’s mostly in favour

Hell! 75% of players would rather play mods like Pod & PD2 than retail version

You hear much more people talk about pvp but when you poll it’s a minority

I hope blizzard is aware that the most vocal aren’t automatically the majority

I’ve seen a very different poll on that one and as we all know that you always create bad poll options, none of them have value.

All your polls look like:
Do you want to die:
fast and painful
fast, but not painful
slow and painful
slow but not painful

Your result:
Everyone wants to die.

It’s not even funny anymore buddy.

Op is a known troll. He say all kind of random stuff all the time.

immunities are fine, its a challange

Well they’ve not been in the game for more Versions than they’ve been

The immunity system as we know has been added in the atrocious 1.10, the worst patch in D2 history which added op Runewords and synergies

A challenge is something you can get through, not something you have to circumvent

If a college refused applicants which have X trait, you’d call that a challenge?

A real challenge would be to replace immunities, allow you to damage monsters with high resistance But they would mitigate most of it

so for… most of diablos life. there has been immunities… got it, you’re insane.

i like them
would not have it any other way

The pole is setup to encourage a negative response… 4 subtractive statements vs 1 appreciative statement…

Yes, you can get through the immunes. Every class in this game has multiple types of damage, and you can have a merc to help if you want more type of damage.

Even if you absolutely have to max 1 single damage type, you can still play with your friends in a team.

I don’t mind an immunity. I do not like multiple immunities, especially on quest bosses.

It is 100% unacceptable to have a quest mob immune to fire and cold if you’re a fire and cold sorc, or a physical and lightning immune mob if you’re a Holy Shock Paladin.

It makes it 100% impossible to get past that point given you are only awarded enough points for 2 damage types at best.

I play solo. Every character I have is stuck on a boss/quest mob in hell with all the immunities needed to make it impossible for me to kill.

No, I frankly dislike it greatly! They should remove it (if they have to have it give them a certain percentage of damage mitigation to a certain element!)

… my merc has something to say about that… THAT’S THE WHOLE POINT in having a proper build… you children will cry about anything and everything that isn’t even an issue.

100% impossible. no it isn’t. not even close.
