After the update the character offline can not join game

by switch after the update today, the characters offline can not join the game anymore. All the characters online have no problem.
I find, if the name of characters has the symbol _, then have the error. Without _ is ok.
Please fix the bug as soon as possible. thanks!

Some of my characters with _ in the name seem ok, but 3 with _ are getting the ā€˜failed to joinā€™ message.

All my characters containing ā€œ_ā€ and ā€œ-ā€ on Nintendo Switch Offline show this issue. Basically all my mules are lockedā€¦

After the recent patch, all 8 of my mule characters on my PS4 say ā€œfailed to join gameā€ when I try to load them, similar to your issue.

I think the issue occurs if you use multiple special characters. I just created a character with a single hyphen and it worked fine. But when I created a new one with 2 hyphens (my mules are named Mule-Uniq-One, etc.), it fails to even join right after creating the character.

Blizzard, can you please fix this? Thanks :slight_smile:

Can help confirm. My bank mules, Runes-A-L and Runes-M-Z are both stuck ā€œunable to join gameā€ or whatever. So it seems any toons with multiple ā€œspecialā€ characters in their name, that are not just alpha/numeric are broken since the last patch just a few days ago. All my other tons work just fine.

Also me. I have plenty of characters with ā€˜-ā€™ and ā€˜ā€™ in their name, but the ONE character that has two 'ā€™ is now unusable. Please fix!

man dude are you telling me I canā€™t play my level 78 paladin just because he has hyphens in his name. BLIZZARD PLZ FIX THIS MAN. OR ATLEAST LET US RENAME THEM!!!

Still cannot join the offline game after upgraded this morning. I tried to delete one CHAR and recreate with same name, cannot still. Plz check and fix

Same for me. Iā€™m on Switch, playing offline, just downloaded the latest update and Iā€™m still getting ā€œFailed to join gameā€ for my characters SET-ALD-CLE, SET-COW-IMMORT and so on with two hyphens in their names.

Yeah, that patch did nothing, still canā€™t join games offline, still canā€™t adjust player count and most likely still have items vanish from stashā€¦

Itā€™s getting ridiculous.
This was the last Blizzard game I invested money in, I am done.
