Hey man, you do gotta admit tho, as far as Paladin class fantasy goes, ZTrolls are pretty scuffed.
āScuffedā that is a good word.
heh just saying your points are all bs but idc that much just wanted to post this on my zand troll alt to upset yall that are so opposed to my character even existing
Theyāre just jealous because zandalari are the chad race
HMP thread, checks out.
you know they say all paladin are created equal. but you look at me and you look at that human and you can see that statement is not true! see normally if you go 1 on 1 with another paladin you got a 50/50 chance of winning! but iām a genetic freak and iām not normal! so you got a 25% at best at beat me! and then you add paāku to the mix, you the chances of winning drastic go down! see the gurubashi arena you got a 33 1/3 chance of winning. but i, i got a 66 2/3 chance of winning cause the dwarf paladin knows he canāt beat me and heās not even gonna try! so human paladin you take your 33 1/3 chance minus my 25% chance and you got 8 1/3 chance of winning at armed combat. but then you take my 75% chance of winning if we was to go 1 on 1 and then add 66 2/3 %. i got a 141 2/3 chance of winning in the arena! the numbers donāt lie and they spell disaster for you in the arena!
I like them as Paladins more than I do Tauren.
Although RIP to both if they go back to tier sets and not try to make one thatās themed around their racial aesthetics. Zandalari at least have those questing sets but I just couldnāt get into Tauren wearing knight sets with angel wings because that just fits Humans and Blood Elves way more.
I have no idea why Blizz didnāt lean into Zandalari as Freethinkers when it came to Paladins. Freethinkers were āhereticsā because they didnāt follow Loa, they followed the Light. Theyāve also been a thing since Vanilla, so thereās plenty of precedence for the race/class combo.
/me eats popcorn
I mean, I like Prelates as they were implemented, but I like the concept of them being outcasts hiding out in some shady part of Zuldazar too, could have been a fun angle to lean in to.
Much awesomeness as always Percivall
To me, trolls are a has-been race that is more undead than living. My benchmark for wow lore is wow vanilla/classic. Lets take a look at trolls in wow classic:
- ZulāGurub - living and undead, no sign of trolls who follow the light.
- ZulāFarrak - living/undead, no light.
- Sunken Temple - living/undead, no light.
- Open world - living/undead, no light.
The unique thing about undead trolls in classic is that very few if any were scourge. That means they were raised by other trolls. There are no troll paladins or prelates in classic. Most troll priests are shadow priests in classic.
Any imputing of the light to trolls, regardless from what source it comes from is contrived lore. There is no basis for light trolls anywhere in the game before BFA. As far as I can tell, the only reason to bring troll paladins into wow is to sell expansions and subscriptions to horde players.
And then there is Holy Cows or Tauren Paladin. As far as I can tell, the only purpose of Tauren Paladins in WoW is to fertilize the grounds of Lights Hope Chapel with big piles of Tauren cow poo.
Letās take a look at humans in classic:
Alterac - obliterated
Stromguard - obliterated
Lordaeron - destroyed and basically entirely undead
Stormwind - the only kingdom that still exists, and is in strong decline
So the humans look like a has-been race thatās more undead than living, whereas the Zandalari trolls ā the ones that have Prelates ā had a thriving empire until Cataclysm. All your proving is that any race that wants necromancerās can have them. We even had an entire expansion focused on human undead, we havenāt had that for trolls.
Also, if you want your lore stuck in classic, you can go back to classic. In the mean time, Prelates have existed in game at least since Pandaland.
Alterac was destroyed by Stromgrade after they betrayed the alliance in the 2nd war. The remaining people of Alterac are know as the syndicate.
Stromgrade fell into ruin just shortly after Danath was lost in Outland. And was fully destroyed when thrall escaped for durnhold keep. The kingdom was rebuild by Danath and his forces in BFA.
Lordaeron was destroyed and most of its people did become forsaken, but not all of them. Also the forsaken are not all human.
Stormwind was destroyed in the first war. The Stormwind you see know is the one that was rebuild after winning the 2nd war.
So you agree, humans are a has-been race that are in decline. It doesnāt matter how they were destroyed for that purpose.
No not by any means, if anything there a race that has endured several hardships and continue to move forward. As you seen in BFA were they have reclaimed much of their lost home land.
Humans are the most adaptable race and they multiply the fastest
If they go back to tier sets I would not mind them to make one more Zandalari or Tauren themed.
A set that looks something like this for example I think would be neat: https://hearthstone.gamepedia.com/Zandalari_Templar
AT BEST AT BEAT ME!
Best promo ever.
give me a break, just because itās in the lore does not mean itās not absurd
