"""Ysera isn't Nelf content"""

Night elves are not allowed to have anything of their own. “Druid content is nelf content, so share your race’s story with however many other race”

Night Elves are not allowed to even have their own history. Blizzard made sure to time travel an orc and human back in time to be the heroes of the War of the Ancients, instead of building up new Nelf and Tauren heroes that would be appropriate for the time.

boy howdy is that a strawman if e’er i saw one.
she’s stating that druidism (for other races) shouldn’t be nelf culture.

The dominate Nelf culture is the Sisterhood of Elune. Druidism is a subculture. Like it is for Trolls, Tauren, Gilneans and Kul Tirans.

Then why do all druid forms have elune’s stamp (or necklace)?

Do they? I do not recall unique Tauren, Troll or Kul Trian models having them.

Because Blizzard is lazy and only has enough time to develope for one thing.

Once in a while where there is a druid and elune connection they make it NE themed.
Thats it.

I’m kind of in the middle on this and I feel like Blizzard really pooched everyone in this scenario.

NEs have basically been pigeon-holed into Druid/Ysera related content exclusively making most Druid content feel disconnected if you’re NOT playing a NE.

It makes it annoying for those of us interested in non-Druid NE content AND alienates those who play non-NE druids. It’s a lose/lose for everyone involved.

Unless you’re a NE druid.

I remember being really disappointed in the Druid Order Hall because my Druid is a Gilnean Harvest Witch and she felt insanely out of place in the weird cringy fae-land that was the Druid Order Hall. (No hate if that’s your jam, it just wasn’t mine.)

Basically my point. Y’all don’t speak for every NE player on what constitutes as Night Elf content. I do not feel represented in Val’sharah anymore than I do in Ogrimmar.

TBH I really think it’s a more nuanced grey area that’s all about individual perspective. What some people perceive as NE content and some people don’t is entirely subjective.

In the beginning, I personally didn’t find Ardenweald heavy in NE content but as the story progressed it’s clear that Ardenweald had heavy NE involvement specifically with Tyrande’s story arc. Conversely, I found Legion to feel very NE heavy in the beginning but as the story progressed I felt less so. But that’s just my own personal perspective, and I know everyone interprets the story differently through their own view.

Blizzard overlapped Druid and NE content SO heavily that it’s hard to deny that Ysera isn’t NE content. Especially when Tyrande (a non-Druid) is basically her best friend and any recent development in Ysera’s story has been exclusively tied to Night Elves. She died and was literally ascended into the sky at one of the most prominent spots to the Night Elves (Temple of the Moon) by their primary goddess. Most of those in attendance were Priests, not Druids.

If you don’t feel represented as a NE in Val’shara, then you wouldn’t feel represented as a NE in Teldrassil.

This is a laughably bad take Aki. Val’shara is one of the ancestral homes of the NE’s pre-Sundering. Do you feel represented as a NE in the Tomb of Sargeras? Just curious.

Valshara was nice but I had more fun in serrounding Suramar ruins.
Valshara became a Nightmare fuel way too quickly.

LOL, keep reaching, my guy, As if Mu’sha isn’t a think in Tauren culture. And these are mostly just call backs to the original druid designs of classic, but redesigned with the new race’s flavor.

… Why not?

The world tree that was corrupted due to Druidic negligence, and had to travel to all the Moon Wells and work with the SIsterhood of Elune to purify it? It’s literally one of the only Sisterhood related stories we have, and it perfectly embodies the Kaldorei’s “Brightest Light in the Darkness” Overcoming adversity motif.

Which is WHY it is such a big deal that Teldrassil is gone now.

Yeah but Val’shara was so freaking important to NE history, myth and lore. The tomb of Sargeras was original Temple to Elune. I go in there and chill just for the NE aesthetic

Val’sharah is pretty stupid. Suramar was supposed to be the birthplace of the Sisterhood. But they basically just made grape flavored Sin’dorei with it and handed night elf players a giant salad bowl of Druid content none of us asked for.

Well it’s just weird when Horde players are forced into it. Like Ardenweald balances out and probably wound up being my 2nd favorite Covenant storyline.

But I can see why it put a bad taste in people’s mouths on the week by week renown grind basis. Because it really starts not only as Kaldorei focused but actively bertating Horde PCs, even when it makes no sense or is actively comical. Tyrande brow beating a Vulpera who probably doesn’t know who or what a Teldrassil is. And Shandris going from barely tolerating you to immediately trusting you enough to follow you into the literal gates of hell in the span of literal seconds will never not be funny.

I actually think the Lordaeron Reclamation is a good base for how these things should be handled moving forward. It’s 100% a Forsaken story and the justification for an Alliance PC even being there is so tacked on it might as well be a post it note.

Thing is though - it’s optional. Yeah you need to do it to get some novelty stuff like a title and skin. But if you have no interest in that then you’re not forced to do it.

Kinda like heritage quests only don’t lock them behind a rep and race wall. Seriously I actually havent seen any because Forsaken and Darkspear don’t have any. And I forgot to wear a Silvermoon tabard while leveling my Belf. The Worgen one is probably the first one I’m going to see and boy. They’re lucky I want that dinner jacket and tophat.

It shouldn’t be though. What’s called “druidism” in Warcraft doesn’t refer to the Cenarian tradition only. Trolls, Drusts, Kul Tirans, Harvest Witches never learned it from Cenarius

Do you actually, genuinely feel that way ? If so this is highly surprising. Val’sharah is 100% designed to make Kaldorei players feel at home
