You're the CEO of blizzard entertainment

You forgot, “Golden parachutes”. Top CEOs all went through Harvard Business School together and they all sit on each other’s board of directors. It’s like musical chairs only when there’s no chair left for you they hand you a bag full of gold.

Depends how you mean as CEO, and since a lot of people are just making it a 'if you had total control of what gets added to Blizzard games…

Go back to allowing GMs and moderators to do their job more, enforcing the game rules along with it.

More customization options, including tails for Worgen, Panda neck seam fix + updated model, more allied races.

New story/writing team, new content design team, move ion back to raid design, make more casual/world content to engage with and have the game be more about the journey not the destination again.

Evoker available to other races, more body types for Dracthyr (Other races too with time).

Bring back 30 day time cards.

Probably remove 6 month sub goodies and just make them available to everyone every 6 months or so.

Ban boosting for currency, as well as things like GDKP item bids.

Class design person for each class, not for multiple classes.

Get player housing added.

Remove achievements requirement for flying and enable it everywhere.

Add a pride event to the game much like OSRS had, though a charity event as well.

More allied races, like Gnolls.

Rebuilding Gilneas and some other cities, updating the old world especially since we went through a time skip.

Stop giving streamers, popular players, and content creators preferential treatment

Remove boosts from both versions of the game.

Fix Diablo 2 resurrected, particularly the lobby and chat system as well as rampant botting+ gear buying/selling.

They’re not interested, they left long ago. Curious, that.

Lmao the irony.

Warcraft 4, Starcraft 3. Starcraft universe themed Looter shooter MMO like Destiny/warframe. More resources to Fix warcraft 3 reforged, then reforge 1 and 2.

Console port all the things.

Liquidate my myriad of yachts and leave this dumpster fire because I can’t save this game as it is.

I guess if they fired, they’re not in an unsafe work environment.

Well realistically, if I were CEO of Blizzard what I want would barely matter because I have to answer to the powers above me and shareholders.

But assuming I somehow became giga-rich, bought Blizzard, and took it private so I had full control…

Across the board

  • Stop trying to hammer square peg games into e-sports round holes
  • Put A-teams on the development of Warcraft IV and Starcraft III and restore Blizzard as a force to be reckoned with in the RTS space
  • Stop shying away from making game that have no competitive component (e.g. single player Warcraft or Starcraft RPGs).

WoW specifically

  • Dedicate an entire expansion to fixing WoW’s various ailments — bring base world up to date, fix the numerous bugs plaguing all content, delete dead systems, etc and make the game as a whole more coherent
  • Lean hard into player customization. Character, transmog, player housing, maybe even guild housing. These features would get a dedicated team so they can be worked on alongside all the usual stuff
  • Modernize raid encounters, with popular addons rolled into the base UI and standardized telegraphing
  • Make non-rated battlegrounds function properly as the ground level of PvP — a welcoming experience for new and undergeared players instead of a place for geared players to curbstomp
  • Add deterministic loot systems across all walks of the game so you’re never stuck too long rolling dice for gear
  • Add things for people to actually do with gear aside from earn more gear

Well, the CEO can make decisions long as they can justify them being positive for company/shares in some way. So you could do a lot of things and justify it as rebuilding the brand.

Even so, it depends on how well you can sell that to the execs above and shareholders. If you as CEO aren’t proven to be best left untouched (e.g. the lassiez faire approach Apple’s shareholders have historically taken with Steve Jobs and Tim Cook) that can be incredibly difficult, and because they tend to be highly focused on the present even a temporary dip in profits will send them into a tizzy.

It’s best to just not go public in the first place but I think probably the first step for turning most companies around is taking them private.

Add pepperoni pizza in the game.
Add player housing.
Make a mount equipment to allow flying on all mounts.
Increase the speed of flight paths.
Add more outdoor content like world bosses.

Oh my bad, didn’t realize this was the super serious and hyper realistic thread.
I had better make a serious plan for when I become CEO of Blizzard.

  • No politics inside the company. When you step inside the company…you focus purely on your art. Enployees are free to pursue their politics outside the company

  • Dont expect that my company will take political stances. Its a video game company to build good video games…not solving world problems. So my company will not propogate any social issues.

  • I will not have a cabin and sit among the employees. So i can be aware if there are any problems and try to fix it.

  • Complete freedom to come with your own ideas regarding the video games. Video games are a collective vision

  • I will try to set aside times where employees can come and talk to me about any issues they are experiencing

  • My games will respect player’s intelligence and also trust players instead of trying to handhold them

Thats all i can think of

  • An increased emphasis on politics. Progressive politics should be baked right into story arcs, so that players get to make positive changes in the world and promote diversity, inclusion, and empowerment of the marginalized.

  • Expect my company to take hard-line political stances and to remain outspoken about social issues. Expressing right-wing viewpoints would be a bannable offense. Banned players will get a chance to appeal their ban by explaining that they are actually progressive and that a misunderstanding took place.

  • I will build a Cabin in the middle of Blizzard HQ. I will use heartwood from California redwood trees and I will hire Metzen to work inside the cabin as a bartender.

  • Complete freedom to duel co-workers in impromptu martial arts tournaments. The winner gets their idea implemented!

  • I will try to set aside times where employees can play my D&D campaign.

  • My games will respect players’ entitlement and also coddle players instead of trying to challenge them.

That’s all I can think of.

First, i would make LFR drop the same ilvl gear as a +15 m+

Then i would give slime cat to everyone in the game.

actually then i would just delete m+

WoW is a game played World Wide. Not everyone agrees on political topics, racials issues or sexual freedom. To put those issues into the game would seriously hurt the game. Be best way to be inclusive to everyone is to exclude all talks about those issues from the game. If anything WoW should be a SAFE SPACE from all talks about politics and cultral issues.

Pull the top players of each class in pve and pvp into meetings with the class design teams and engage in round table discussions then post the transcript in each class forum.
Then develop a top of the industry qa team.
Hire professional writers from all formats as consultants for story development.
Direct the cinematic team to develop a full length feature.

LOL,do really like to know?

Yes! 100% agree

Fire Ion and then start rooting out all the sex pests and firing them because I 100% bet Bliz spared at least a few of them giving them a slap on the wrist
