What do you do?
Customization options, make more of them, and work on an actual good story with compelling characters.
Drive my Lamborghini to the harbour and jump on the yacht. Nice leisurely sail, A5 Japanese wagyu, the finest champagne and a big cigar.
also have all the staff onboard call me warchief.
Oh you ment about the game?
Probably add puzzles into raids sort of like a Zelda theme to it, more customization, better story, compelling characters,
Close the forums.
Leave. I don’t want to be a CEO.
Cash out mah golden parachute and move to French Polynesia
Fire all the people who thought it was a good idea to put a cow in charge, and then quit.
/moo
Ask the players what they truly want and then do it and add that stuff to the game
Im hiring a team of people to make new BGs and balance RBGs. I will also throw arena a bone by hiring an Arena intern.
DF gets a Torghast
DH and Warlock are merged and there are now 5 specs for Fel Master
Monk gets a ranged spec
DK can now option a shield
Rogue gets a ranged spec
have em start working on world of diablo and slowly phase out wow heh
Vague question.
In terms of WOW, I’d remove AOTC that way guilds will stop crying about trying to achieve something without whining they’re not good enough too without mythic +
Let WoW continue its slow decline into the dustbin while I expand my company’s IP holdings and diversify into more gaming genres.
I doubt that is the answer you wanted, but that is what a sensible CEO would do.
(Also, Blizzard doesn’t have a CEO)
I’d give players all the most requested features on the forums and change the game to what “everyone” wants.
After that I’d give myself a big bonus and retire before the game flops.
Blizzard doesn’t have a CEO, they have a president I think (it was co-leader but then the other leader left).
Semantics aside, probably focus on the company culture and keep the ship sailing until MSFT transaction pulls through.
Then beg for a bunch more resources to invest in expanding universes and game offerings. WoW’s a cash cow, but they can’t put all their money on one basket and pray for the best.
The gaming industry is changing, and a lot of new games are leveraging different business models beyond subscription. Those business models scale waaay better than a subscription based model.
How do you take the IP of Warcraft and expand that to a much more accessible game?
I think Blizzard’s already trying this, but their execution has really missed the mark. (Looking at you Diablo and Overwatch 2)
Edit: Their MLG acquisition has also fallen flat on its face. That angle also had so much potential too.
make classic plus
is it possible microsoft pulls an elon musk? that’d be kinda funny.
I support Heroes of the Storm and Warcraft III Reforged by adding actual devs to the games.
Probably not. The guy running MSFT has a level head on his shoulders unlike Musk. The bigger risk is regulators shut the deal down, but from what I’ve read that’s not very likely. MSFT’s been on a PR tour trying to appease anti-competitive concerns by making a bunch of concessions.
