“Glad you could make it, Uther”.
Yeah the ones with long unskippable RP.
Close second are “portal gauntlet” ones, just boring.
Third design i hate are just gauntlets in general.

MoP challenge modes gave me such a deep and intense hatred for this dungeon.
The ENTIRE second boss trash and the final boss in general make me want to fight. It’s one I hope never makes it to the M+ rotation.
(huge space between)
Ye olde Scholomance from pre-BC
Escape from Durnholde
Magister’s Terrace when it first came out, though I still advocate for fights like Delrissa to be in the game.
Place was brutal, i was a Lock then, had to form my own groups and play with the Succubus out to even get through it as the only dps classes people wanted for it were Rogues and Mages since you had to CC basically every trash pulls and it was needed for Delrissa.
Karazhan
Assault on Violet Hold
Grimrail Depot
Spires of Ascension
There are definitely 3 categories of dungeons that I hate
Standing in 1 room while adds spawn.
As far as 3 dungeons that I absolutely hate… tough call, lot of candidates for a variety of reasons, especially since each expansion has at least a few that were just
Guess I’d go with
This is so unfun. Self defensive powers are almost never helpful, either them being non existent or on a long recharge.
i never understood why they gimped such a great dungeon.
There are a few dungeons that are modeled around The Black Morass - The Violet Hold being one of them. It’s lazy dungeon design and everyone knows it.
My favorite? Shadowmoon Burial Grounds. Everything from the voice acting to the damage profile that healers have to heal up, to the design, and Nerzhul - I love that dungeon.
it was probably because it was so large. heck, you have to go through a dungeon to get to the dungeon entrance. still, they could’ve cut it into sections- Top: the non-instanced dungeon you have to go through first Middle: the top couple of layers Bottom: …the bottom, what they actually left in the instance.
the didn’t do the same with Blackrock depths possibly because it was much more iconic as Classic’s Non-Raid Megadungeon?
Nokud - Over the top anti melee AoE’s, Coordinating the group with dragon riding is a PITA. There really needs to be a way to tone down all the wind effects.
Azure - Over the top anti melee AoE’s, random spell thing, welp social mechanic, last boss - snare if you move, aoe’s that force you to move, balls that chase you while you can’t move… who comes up with something like that.
Court - decorations that block your camera. always have to thread the needle with pats, ground effects you can barely see, weird logic puzzle role play, having to fight in a costume.
1/ halls of stone, dear lord im literally dying of boredom waiting for the laser beam boss to finish. It’s really long and really dull and even has an escort quest. No redeeming features.
2/ old hillsbrad. A long and boring escort quest, and this one lets you troll people by starting it before anyone is ready, so they have to do the whole dungeon again if they want to complete the quest. I instantly leave this one if I get it in queue.
3/ Tol Dagor. Ugly and buggy. Pulling things through the floors and ceiling all the time. Annoying voice overs and talking heads. At least some of the mechanics were interesting!
Any dungeon with the following:
Escorts
Timed gauntlet bosses that you can’t make faster no matter what.
Extended, unskippable RP.
So I guess Halls of Stone, Hillsbrad, Black Morasses.
All of them.
De Other Side
Arcway
Shrine of the Storm
Runner-ups:
Halls of Valor
Halls of Stone
The Arcatraz
Old Hillsbrad Foothills
The Mechanar
I didn’t do Seat of the Triumvirate, but I’ve heard awful things about it.
Temple of Sethraliss
Kings Rest
Temple of the Jade Serpent
As you can tell, I can’t stand linear dungeons. Give me more dungeons that allow unique pathing and don’t require a rogue.
