literally NOT your concern. Im NOT the ONLY person with this complaint son. I didnt make this thread.
Those of you who arent having the issue should just click clack your way out of the thread, its not your worry here.

Murders me how some folk just cant help themselves but insert noses into an issue to argue points that have NO BEARING on their game.
Life wont end if they double the quest slots, everyone…I PROMISE :joy::joy::joy::joy:
You literally wont even notice. lmao

  • see my numerous posts above
  • stop worrying yourself awake at night about our asking for more quest slots.
  • this ISNT the first time this issue has been brought up. Been playing seven years now and its BEEN an issue many times in here.
  • go play your game, dont worry if we can get bliz to open up more slots…it wont affect you…i promise lmao

I have, 3 post alt, many times on many characters for reasons mentioned above.
so I guess my “muh has” negates your “nuh uh”, lol

Why don’t you finish your quest chains before moving on to the next one?

Go back and do the quests you abandoned and you wouldn’t have this issue.

I’ve been playing since Wrath and it was an issue then too. I was working on Loremaster, which involved a lot of quest chains you couldn’t “just finish up real quick” and they were literally all over the map back then. Then I’d be trying to do Argent Tournament dailies. It’s way more efficient to pick all those up at once, because there’s a lot of flying around to do them, and there could be like seven or eight at once, I think. “Finish your other quests first” isn’t helpful on those days that all you have time for is the dailies. That’s usually when I hit the limit, is picking up dailies.

right…not all the time. Mostly for me its when Im running around in numerous expansions farming transmogs and have questlines all over the place but still wanting to get stuff done in current content as well.

FACTUALLY, doubling the quests isnt going to affect a single person here either way.
some just like to find a thread to troll in to get attention and at a point theyre just going to end up on my ignore list for wasting my time arguing pointless nonsense.
its LITERALLY NONE of their business if the quest list gets doubled. None. Nada. It has no bearing on their game literally at all, so I have to assume they are here commenting in the negative to troll and get attention they arent getting elsewhere.

Some of us fill that list pretty quick because of OUR GAME and how WE PLAY it.
how THEY play theirs is of NO consequence to ours or this topic.

you know that’s not how all quests function… don’t you?

i’ve had quests sitting in my log for years just because of the hoop-jumping required to complete them… and they can’t be abandoned because they’re account-wide.

others for raids which can’t be done in a few minutes… or even a day… or a week.

You dont have to drop any! Go do them instead of hoarding them

They should increase the size of the quest log, put back the number of quests you are holding at the top of the list, and bring back that system they had that used to automatically re-order your quests to prioritize whatever zone you had entered.

I’m just so tired of having to untrack a dozen quests in order to get all the quests in the same zone from the same quest hub to show in the sidebar.

and YOU dont have to post in here since it has nothing to do with you!! lmao

welcome to my ignore list.
Everyone else who does this crap will be put there too.

I think that part of the problem for Dragonflight at least is that each step of the a quest might spring up several all new quests.

Mmorpgs try to keep data as low as possible it seems for overall server data size… Kinda like the space limitations and auction limitations in other games… some games have very limited storage /inventory … some games limit your auctions to like 5 or 10 things… then again other games have to save data for 5-10 minutes nightly with an offline saving period. Anyone know how often wow does server save or how does it work

I do not understand why the quest log is still so small. I mean, I get not wanting the player to be overwhelmed, but divide it into tabs. At the very least, there should be a full quest log tab for each expansion. If people want to go back and do old content, and a lot do, those 15 year old quests should not be taking away quest log space from current expansion quests.

After that, maybe dailies and world quests should get their own tab. Maybe profession quests should get their own tab. Dungeon and raid quests tab. Etc.

Or, how about this, an active quest tab and an inactive quest tab. Active would have the same amount as now, but inactive would have room for at least as many, maybe more. When you run out of room in the active tab you can move quests to the inactive tab instead of deleting them. When you have room again or decide you want to work on that content you can move the inactive quests back to the active tab.

I think we need a more comprehensive quest log. I’d like to see a list of quest chains on the zone map, and be able to click the beginning of a chain to have a breadcrumb quest to send you to the start. If that were a thing, we should be able to either focus a chain to make the ‘:grey_exclamation:’ all shielded and to make the shields different colors.

So, for one chain you choose a blue shield, for another you choose a red shield, or the game colors them automatically. Then it could list the chains by order of acceptance, and show each quest in the chain on a drop-down.

Also, I just wanted to say for any of my Gen-X counterparts:

THE GAME.

You just lost it.

that would be cool. Whatever we have now, just add that many into that tab so I can more easily distinguish between current content and old content quests.
blizzard…ion…seems to try to pretend that the ONLY thing to do this game is CURRENT content so we have all we need lmao.
It isnt. And clearly enough of us dont for this topic to keep coming up.
Almost feels like a doubling down thing again that they seem to do well instead of just doing something very simple to make players lives easier.

And for me, I forget to do it or where it was.

and depending, Ive had old content quest chains where I started them, needed room and when I went back there was nothing to pick up.
I literally made a ticket, and as i said above, I was told Id have to do it on another character. Seems like it was for a mogs, most likely. Been a long time since I did the ticket.
cant risk deleting quests for fear that they wont be able to be picked back up.

Well, I used to be like most players but I’ve learnt that not every quest is meant for me…

The multitude of quests makes for replayability for different people.

If my quest log is too full, to me, that communicates I’m trying to do too much.

Time to tell those NPCs “look, bud, my plate’s full, at the moment. If I’m not interested or it isn’t something another Champion can handle, I’ve got a world to save.”

WoW is a world where several champions just like me exist so I don’t feel obligated to do every single quest when others can handle it.

If they didn’t want players to be overwhelmed, they wouldn’t be giving them massive numbers of quests that can’t be done in a serial manner. This is the game design. It is deliberate, as is removal of the means we used to have to help us track quest progress.

Odd responses, but you be you. Just do the quests. In almost 20 years of playing, where I do the complete campaign and side quests, ive never once gotten a full log message.
