Cowboy Beebop was the first time I knew what anime was. The first one I watched was probably Battle of the Planets aka Science Ninja Team Gatchaman.

Not that sure. It was either one of the studio ghibli movies, pokemon, or dragon ball z.

Then again, one my neighbors did watch sailor moon whenever she visited, so that could have been my first too.

Besides the occasional episode or two on Adult swim when it was late nights, the first anime I really got into was ghost in the shell. The older Ghost in the shell series was by far the best writing and way ahead of it’s time. It was a snowball effect from there.

JJBA was the first I watched, I thought anime was a joke until I saw that last year
lately I’ve been watching more and more anime I fear I will become a weeb soon!

Robotech and Voltron when I was like 5. Street Fighter 2 the animated movie sucked me in when I was a teenager. Gamefan magazines had an anime section which solidified my weebdom with Evangelion. Toonami was great, I remember getting off work in time for G Gundam.
