They already said that wouldn’t happen and that it’s actually opposite. Where we could be in shadowlands for decades and only a few months on azeroth. So we get back and Magni will be like “well why haven’t you left yet?”
I think that’s a pretty ridiculous thing to think of, with the troubles the’ve had … big time turnover and all this crazy in-company antagonism and infighting is like the worst thing ever for work. if they push something out this year the quality level will probably be 9 hells-piles of crap.
Probably not THAT slow, as we know we have connections to Azeroth still with the portals we made in Oribos. But it could be that time moves slower.
This is one of those things we just have to wait and find out for sure.
not sure if those portals and casual crossing over is canon.
That’s why they’re cutting 9.3 and 9.3.5. There’s already a normal window for 10.0, but they’re adding compensation due to the Blizzard controversy and covid factors.
It’s compensated for sure.
They would rather cut 9.2 if it meant releasing 10.0 this year. They WANT that Box-Price $$$.
Subs from a good expansion if they finished SL isn’t worth it to them. They want the subs + box price of 10.0 for sure. This expansion is f*ed. It’s not salvageable. They literally stole it’s development time and piled it for 10.0.
They did say that, but it never came to fruition. Hopefully, that will come as part of the hype of 10.0.
I think if anything of the portals are canonized, it’s a one way trip to Shadowlands. They’re mainly for gameplay mechanics.
Doubt it, but who knows? I’m sure they would prefer to have it drop before years end, but I’d say everyone is in for another 11 months at least of Shadowlands. My guess is spring, or summer 2023.
When 9.2 comes out, they’re going straight into development on 10.0 In fact their asset pipelines are well into 10.0 right now.
There’s no way it’ll take them a solid 1 year to make an expansion. They’ve never done that before and it’s not that doomsdayish.
They’re cutting much of 9.2, 9.2.5, 9.3, and 9.3.5 ON TOP of the normal 10.0 time. This IS the compensation for the s*t Show that’s going on right now. It’ll come out at the latest Jan. 2023-Feb 2023, but it’s right around the corner. Blizzard would literally cut 9.2 to release it this year. It’s about the time, they have the team to develop the game literally. IT’s just lagged by about a single patch. Hence 9.3 going into 10.0. Read up on WoW’s patch history.
Normal 10.0 development will begin prior to 9.3, because they’re always ahead of the game. We don’t see what they’re working on. I guess if people really think they won’t release 10.0 at the end of this year they’re going to be shocked. Your expectations are too disconnected from reality. I urge you to read up on their patch history. The 9.3 and 9.3.5 dev times, are more than enough for them to get 10.0 out this year on top of the normal 10.0 development time.
They won’t release a major patch and an expansion in the same year. That doesn’t make any sense, regardless of what circumstances are.
I think so too, but again they don’t release major patches in the same year as an expansion. No point in releasing a patch at that point.
You’re mistaken. They release 4 major patches every 2 years. That’s been consistent for every single expansion since TBC. Look it up.
Literally EVERY 2 years, they released 4 major patches. WoD was a rough spot and it’s similar to SL. They cut a lot of stuff to streamline into Legion development, and Legion was perhaps the best Expansion out of the last 4. So that’s good news for 10.0 if history repeats itself.
So actually yes, they literally have and always have released major patches alongside Expansion releases. That’s how it’s always been…
Yes they do. That’s how it’s always been… Read the WoW Patch history.
I’d like to see 9.2 end of feb/early march, 9.2.5 in summer and 10.0 in november? Give or take
I don’t think blizz wants to go to 2023 without a new expansion tbh
Lighten up rando internet person. Said it was a guess. Op asked what we thought. Nothing etched in stone.
Given the scandals and COVID costing us easily a tier, if not more and given both things are still very much active issues they are facing…
I’d say an expansion launch this year is a pipe dream at best and they absolutely need to hold it back until it is damn near perfect. SL was clearly rushed and not ready as is and I truly don’t think we’ll get a 11.0 if whatever is next tanks hard too. Personally too, I’d much rather have a prolonged 9.2 than another rushed expansion.
This is my assumption aswell, we still have no idea what the next expansion will be yet, as much as I’d love an expansion to be released this year I truely don’t have my hopes up. But hey if they do it will be a welcomed surprise…
Unlike many internet persons, I don’t insult or throw banter at people. I just discuss stuff. Throw my opinions out. All in good nature, I just have my strong opinions and I’m betting on what I said is all. Sorry for coming off as hostile. I don’t mean that.
I’m sure 10.0 will release at latest Jan-Feb 2023 at earliest Aug. 2022. If it’s outside of this window then s*t must have really hit the fan at Blizzard.
I 100% agree anything is possible. Especially depending on the scope of 10.0.
It’s possible we could get a 10.0 trailer drop anytime now. My guess is that we won’t see 10.0 trailer until after 9.2 releases.
A lot of people have noticed that 9.2 PTR has A LOT of spoilers on it. It could be that they’re trying to rush the story out to people to wrap up SL lore so they can drop the 10.0 trailer sooner. Who knows, but 2022 is going to be a bad year for WoW for sure. 9.2 will be descent but the 10.0 timewindow could be wonky and worse than I think. Hopefully I’m right, and it releases at the end of the year but time will tell.
No prob friend. I hope you are right.
This is just me personally but I’d rather them take longer and up until 2023 to pop out a better expansion, than even the 9.3 + 10.0 dev time window for a release at the end of this year.
The content drought from 9.2 until almost a solid 1 year… O.O That’s intense and scary for WoW as a game. That’s never happened before. I think Blizzard sees that coming. Can WoW go a solid year without a new raid season or new patch content? Damn. 2022 is looking grim for WoW.
I still think 10.0 is at the end of this year, but if it’s not to me as said is personally fine. I just hope the playerbase agrees that it’s ok if I’m wrong and it’s actually released well into 2023’s spring for 10.0.
For this I’d just like to know if they will allow boosts again.
Lets start that fire now…so it be motivation to know whether I have to level to 70 lol.
As tbh…I was predicting BE and Draenei boosts by now in tbcc. If not uncapped boosting as well. Still wrong about that but the year is young lol.
Is this post from the future? This Year?! 2024?
