Look at any Classic+ thread and you see endless posts asking for class changes. I’ve been on this forum since it opened and I’ve seen thousands and thousands of these posts. What you’re claiming is utter nonsense.
As far as Blizz’s approach to Fresh, they said they want to keep as close to the 2019 experience as possible. Class changes ain’t happen. But they did create a version of Vanilla specifically for class changes. It’s called SoD. You should check it out.
Anyone who thinks SoD is “pretty close” to just wanting a few minor QOL changes is an idiot.
SoD made sweeping changes to classic which is bad.
Good changes for the health of the server that SoD made though are
Month CD on WBs.
Rend for Alliance (I am playing horde on fresh, getting rend on alliance though is stupid af)
Duel spec (Ty blizzard)
DMF quick cooldown.
Then you have all the overreaching changes that should not be a thing.
Change to raid size.
Major class changes.
Item Rebalancing.
Raid rebalancing.
These changes fundamentally change the game. While the first ones I mentioned don’t. They just create a better experience for all.
Stuff I want them to bring to classic & sod still is DHKs should not be party/raid wide. Should only count if you hit the mob. Its a bad griefing mechanic.
If there are so many, link one that is asking for new spells and completely overhauling class design. Just 1… Link 1.
Also, I find it funny that even you, aren’t constantly playing Classic. According to your post history, someone took almost a 7 month pause from playing the game. Yet, you want to dictate the future of said version of the game.
The future is dictated. This is Classic fresh. It’s not SoD version 2. If you don’t like Vanilla, don’t play it. Lucky for you there’s a version made with changes called SoD!

Can you explain what you mean by this? I feel like I have some nebulous grasp of the concept but what would this actually look like?
Not an expert on the topic at all and I don’t even know if it’s feasible. I just think the only future WoW has is to put the tools in the hands of the player. Acti-Blizz guiding the game from the perspective of shareholders will never produce the games made by gamers that Blizzard is known for.
I for one am tired of the rat race and would like a nice comfy level 60 PvP server similar to Arena Tournament to retire on.

I was with you till you called SOD abomination. It’s the most fun i ever had playing warrior and paladin. But then again I don’t expect anything intelligent from classic purists who believe pressing two buttons and auto attack is epitome of skill and challenge

Era and anniversary aren’t centered around core game design changes
