The type of personality that likes to keep channels clean of things that doesn’t belong in them?

I get it, your talking about how I brought up sexual preferences and identity politics, but have you seen Proudmoore trade chat? 99% of whats typed in there would get me a forum suspension if I were to repeat it.

Also I don’t care one way or another. I’m just tired of being reported for using trade for trading, meanwhile the same people everyday spam about how gay they are or how much they hate Trump, etc. I don’t really care if your gay, straight, bi, or w/e. I just wanna be able to use trade chat for trading without being punished for it. :slight_smile:

Of all the things that never happened, this never happened the most.

Getting that message means you got reported multiple times. You didn’t just bad luck into a herd of trolls reporting people in trade for the lulz.

I’ll have to choose my words carefully as i was once given a forum vacation for telling someone they were being caustic, it isn’t just about the things you mentioned either.

There are types of people that are good at facing an aggressive opponent with calm reasoning, they have the ability to talk people down and bring them to a more friendly place, somewhere that they can more easily communicate. I think you are not one of these types of people, you seem ummmm gruff? Prickly even? those are probably the best forum friendly words i could come up with :blush:

I think for whatever reason people are reporting you, be it spammy trade advertising or rubbing people the wrong way when they’re trying to chat in trade chat, it isn’t going to change anytime soon (them, you, or the system that actioned you).

This is either a 12-14 year-old child without sufficient parental controls on his/her screen time or this is an adult on something illicit and speedy.

Yes, I am. Which is why I keep “chatting” to a minimum. Almost never in fact.

I don’t post anything other than my profession services in trade, I don’t join w/e conversation is going on. No one would care to hear my opinions anyway.

Well I’ve learned that trolls take advantage of me trying to have fun and I’d rather not risk a squelch because someone thought it’d be funny to report me for some type of joke or something (the last thing I was reported for, a joke). I’d love to chat with people, but alas.

Yeah I was linked that too. Its dumb imo, but whatever. A square is not a swear word, a circle is not a swear word, combining them is also not a swear word.

I mean the whole idea of swearing being against CoC in the game is dumb when theres a filter thats turned on by default, AND Blizzard has the power to block us from typing certain words into chat anyway, filter or not. If its against CoC just prevent us from typing it, problem solved :dracthyr_shrug:

If i could offer up one suggestion, if you truly are only popping your advertising into trade chat every 5 or 10 minutes, maybe it’s the message itself, i know the others are talking about symbols being seen as this or that, i personally just find them spammy, if your message is full of a bunch of raid symbols to kinda bloat it up and make it more visible, i’d report spam that just so i didn’t have to see it again lol

Perhaps something a little less obtrusive? Just a link of your prof tab and brief description of your prices/business practices? 86 the symbols?

It doesn’t contain language or symbols. It just links an item, my price with various infusions, and even a smiley face at the end. I’m sure its just some guy mad about me selling the same thing as him but cheaper. That or just a troll.

If it wasn’t for all of the infusions, and ranks of mats etc I’d love to cut the message size down, but if I don’t put that stuff in people just send me work orders with rank 1 mats.

If my warning was for “spam” I’d try it, but it was for language, so I’m at a loss since I don’t swear around random people in WoW anymore.

If darby wants to live in his own reality on this topic, I say we let him and stop giving him attention for it.

Maybe then he will realize that his crusade is doomed from the outset and go home.

As for your OP, I wouldn’t worry about getting a warning. When you get reported so many times, you get that warning so if you really are doing something wrong, you have a chance to knock it off.

A person will review those reports and if you were just advertising your trade, nothing will happen.
