Maybe our wires got crossed here or I misunderstood you. I thought you were saying those who are complaining about claim that nobody reads the kick comments are the ones who are asking for the changes.
I know but the YES comes before the NO. It’s just something people have devolved to gravitate towards, for some odd reason.
I’m not saying you’re wrong, but it can be understandable, especially when you get the whole story. I play XIV for a little before I leave for work. Gives me time to do a quick dungeon. If this were WoW instead, and I got kicked and a deserter, my entire plan is kaput. There are details to some stories like this that you don’t hear. We just hear the kick parts.
What we players don’t want is overly happy clicking players voting for VTK just by clicking a button. At least by typing VTk players would be able to stop and thinking before rushing to judgement.
You’re correct, you do, but as I said, for some odd reason, people gravitate towards yes. Not everyone, but those who are just “quick clickers” who don’t care and just want it off their screen. It’s a weird phenomenon.
/votetokick %t isn’t going to make people stop and think any more than navigating a menu to do it. Anyone who’s made the decision that someone needs the boot isn’t going to be stopped because they have to make the click clack noise.
I’m going to need to see some evidence to support this claim that you made up.
Its not over reaction,
you are out of touch.
I was leveling quiate a lot of characters for achievs during anniversary events.
The kicks were constant and unjustified compeltely.
The current vote kick system is being constnatly abused.
The question is why you trying to downplay the issue to keep it hidden,
do you enjoy communnity sufferings?
As I am sure has been explained numerous times, usually these “yes” prompts are in regard to equipping items to soulbind them or confirmations on disenchanting/other professions. It’s not a surprise at a cursory glance “yes” is often picked.
Left to right reading is indeed a factor to consider. Most everything we encounter be it terms of service agreements, confirming purchases, or interacting with most confirmation prompts, “yes” is usually what is read first and is ingrained to press if you know what you are looking at.
I feel like Blizzard is treating us players like 3 blind mice. Clicking what ever is on the left and don’t have the intelligence to read what is the reasons for VTK.
Blizzard please fix the vote to kick, 98% of players are incapable of reading more than one word on a screen. They just see yes and instantly return to a primal state like their ancestors prior to the discovery of controlled fire.
I mean personally when I see that yes pop up on my screen, everything goes red and I literally physically cannot read or click anything but yes.
If abuse is allowed it does not make it less of abuse.
Its the same in high school,
the fact that teachers allow you to mock less fortunate students, does not make it ok Ayukama.
