Yet another guild bank post

Guild banks aren’t “bad”. They serve a purpose. But they weren’t in Vanilla, and we had workarounds that worked just as well.

no, people would still file tickets for GBA issues, and i’m sure many other issues.

You’re deflecting

I’m sure that sounds like a great response, but I was responding to your point. If you distracted from the main point, that’s not on me.

I was referring to the idea of them being ‘bad’, and we had systems that worked well enough, and more than likely will work fine again, but if there ends up being issues with GBAs, i can imagine that they revisit the idea.

If Blizzard gets too many tickets, and it becomes a cost overhead issue, sure, revisit the idea. I lodged many tickets as a Raid Lead to reassign master looted gear. I never lodged, nor had lodged against me, a single ticket about how I ran the raid’s bank alt. And we were a raiding alliance, not even a single guild, so guild banks wouldn’t have solved anything.

Thinking about that point, we put far less “personal” stuff in the bank alt, than people do with Guild Banks today. So maybe they need to rethink what’s going in in terms of Vanilla.

I just realized something else.

Pro-GB people have good points.

Anti-GB people make things up about what the pro-GB people’s intentions are.

“You just want the bag slots”
“You have a non-vanilla agenda”

Come on, stop doing that. It’s sad. Come up with a real argument.

And “it wasn’t in vanilla” doesn’t count since Blizz asked for non-vanilla opinions.

The burden of proof is on the change, not the status quo. The argument is “It wasn’t in Vanilla”. You haven’t come up with a significant enough valid reason why that paradigm should be broken for guild banks.

Stop deflecting :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Because you can’t. The intent of the transaction isn’t ever logged.

Yah thats what I thought you were getting at when you described your raiding thing.

well you can’t put BoA items or soulbound items in a GB but you can in a GBA.

I’m sure if anyone ever complained such that gear was removed from the bank alt, I’d know…

Lol there have been points made for over a year. What even is your point?

a) BoA items didn’t exist in Vanilla and won’t exist in Classic.
b) The only soul bound items you could put in a Guild Bank Alt, are those soul bound to the alt, which doesn’t really solve much because they can never be removed.

i know I was just stating facts:O)

“Just the facts as relevant to the case please, ma’am”

omg I am binging sovcit stuff on youtube atm too,

fun fact , BoA was added in Wrath.

That would be the security of knowing officerlightfingers is not finding his epic mount or selling gold from his free unchecked gold stream. Yup. You guessed it we’ve talked about this.

Not if there’s restrictions in place to prevent this or its accepted as another gold sink. Which seems to be how blizz viewed it on live. They never said boo about it for years. People used to sell guilds in trade.
Also like I said. If inventory is the concern: this is akin to creating another storage bank alt. We’ve talked about this.

Agreed. Impact must be weighed. Why?How? When? We sure? Yup. I can dig it. I’m with ya.

Both of these are debatable. Obviously cases have been made.

Sounds like uneeded crap that can make guilds fall apart to me.
Wait a dog gone minute here. How can you say gbanks aren’t needed and they could possibly avoid guild busting drama but we need guild busting drama because social dynamics?

Can we remove water dismount as well? It’s just a harmless convenience.

My gnome is tired of being wet.

Wait, is this the asking for stuff not in Vanilla post? Am I in the right place?
